This was the first time we had stayed at Windwhistle House but we were not disappointed. It is an old house but the rooms are modernised tastefully. Unusually for a B&B, there are only two rooms (which could be a drawback) but this was not a problem for our party of three as two of us were a couple. The proprietors (Angela & Paul) were very welcoming and friendly and the rooms were very comfortable and clean with en-suite bathrooms,tea/coffee making facilities and TV. There was a varied breakfast menu with local produce, cooked very nicely to order by Angela. The house is situated in a good location on the A350 within walking distance of Shaftesbury, although if you are a light sleeper, you might be disturbed by the traffic passing right by the window of one of the rooms. However, this did not affect us. The price quoted was fair and good value. We would suggest viewing the website and would be happy to stay there again.
