“quiet, comfortable and stylish accommodation”
Reviewed 6 November 2013 for a stay in September 2013

The Coppice is a wonderful place for a rejuvenating break. Although it is part of a larger house, it feels quite separate and secluded, and you can have as much or as little contact with the hosts as you want. Neil and Gabriela are friendly and considerate hosts and make you feel very welcome, while also leaving you to your own devices if that is what you want. The studio is bright, spacious, comfortable and stylish, with lots of lovely 'extras' and touches. There is a delightful patio seating area where you can watch the sun go down. Shaftesbury is only a few minutes' drive - although compared to the peace and quiet of the Coppice it feels like another world!

“Peaceful retreat in beautiful surroundings”
Reviewed 26 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

To arrive still stressed from the demands of everyday life, and be instantly enveloped and gathered up by the peace and beauty of the location: bliss. And the accommodation itself is thoughtful and well appointed, easy on the eye, and furnished and equipped by someone clearly committed to good designm with impeccable eco credentials. Also a fantastic base whether you want to explore the immediate countryside from the Coppice itself, or explore further afield. And Neil and Gabi could not be kinder hosts. What more could one wish for? Highly recommended.

“Beautiful location, well equipped studio with lots of home comforts”
Reviewed 19 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Freindly welcome to a lovely studio in quiet beautiful countryside. Wildlife on your doorstep. A good base for exploring the surrounding area. We didn't want for anything, the breakfast basket was much appreciated with lovely local produce.

“Wonderful, peaceful studio apartment in a glorious location”
Reviewed 15 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We had 3 lovely days staying in this apartment and exploring the surrounding area. Shaftesbury itself is worth a visit and the stunning cathedral at Salisbury only 45 mins away. The apartment is well equipped, stylish and very comfortable and the hosts do everything to make sure your visit is a success. I can thoroughly recommend it.

“A Scandi treat tucked away in rural Dorset”

Thanks to a great recommendation, we found ourselves tucked up at The Coppice this weekend. It was a wonderful cozy get away after a day spent in wellies at the End of the Road Festival (much to the envy of our camping friends!). The wooden framed Coppice studio, surrounded by trees and with nothing but birdsong to break the silence, is the perfect Scandinavian-style hideaway. There's everything you could want inside - a super comfy bed (along the glorious memory foam lines) with plump pillows, chairs to watch the huge flat screen TV if desired (though we lay in bed and watched the boxset of Spaced - again, another great find!). Breakfast was fresh bread, organic butter and milk and lovely locally produced preserves - the marmalade was truly delicious. I especially liked the organic products in the bathroom. We wish we could have stayed longer and explored the local area the next day but we were back for more music and muddy festival fun the next day. My advice would be to book early for this place as once the word gets out, it's going to be a firm favourite....
