A beautiful cottage hidden in rural North Dorset. It was so peaceful and beautiful we can't help but relax when we come here. The garden is beautiful, and to sit in the evening sun on the terrace is magical. It has the best of both worlds-- all mod cons with a luxurious feel but a timeless quality. Lots to see and do nearby: Stourhead gardens are glorious and Shaftesbury and Sherbourne both have lovely boutique shops and good coffee spots. At the end of the lane is Duncliffe, an ancient wooded hill preserved by the woodland trust. A walk through the bluebells in Spring is not to be missed. The Grosnover hotel is worth a mention for morning coffee and on previous trips we've had great pub meals at the Forester in Donhead St Andrew and the Stapleton Arms in Buckhorn Weston. Just had a couple of days here this time but as always it felt like we'd been completely restored.
