Well placed accommodation, superb host, well informed of local places to visit, good recommendations made my stay even more enjoyable, hope to get back there later this year.
One of the cleanest and interesting homes I have stayed in.
Gary's hard work is clear to see

A beautiful house and wonderful garden that allows to feel that you could retreat from the world despite being in the heart of Shaftesbury. The house was light and clean probably even nicer than the website promised. Super breakfast. Thank you Gary and Phil you are fab hosts

Room Tip: Victorian room was beatiful

The owners of this beautiful house, Phil and Gary, made every effort to welcome us into their home, and ensure we had a very relaxed stay. Both Gary and Phil are very knowledgeable about the area and of the many places to visit around this stunning part of Dorset.
We stayed in the Bali room which is light and spacious and has a very comfortable bed. We also took advantage of the jacuzzi bath in the en suite during our stay....lovely!
Every breakfast choice was catered for by Gary, there being good quality cereals, yoghurts and fresh fruit to choose from, as well as the gut-busting Full English 'cooked to order'! Local produce is used, including the artisan breads Phil likes to promote, and quite rightly so!
A beautiful house, lovely hosts and a superb stay. Highly recommended!

A lovely welcome from Gary and Phil to their lovely and immaculate home. The complimentary tea and bisuits was a lovely touch. My room (Victorian) was huge, beautifully decortaed and supremely comfortable. The house and garden are stunning and so well placed for exploring the town. A delicious and very extensive home cooked breakfast completed a memorable short stay.

I would highly recommend the Walled Garden as THE place to stay in this area. Philip and Gary have created a lovely ambience at their beautiful home and are great hosts. When you travel a lot it is always lovely to be able to add another place to the list of ones you would like to return to and the Walled Garden is certainly one for that list. We visited in December and I can only imagine how beautiful the garden must look in full bloom later in the year. There is even a local Snowdrop Festival which was a new one for me! Try the Grovesnor Arms a stroll away for great food and atmosphere.
