“Warm welcome, great fry-up and coffee”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 January 2014

Was walking through Shaftesbury on a damp January afternoon and I fancied a fry-up. Saw a sign in the window for all-day breakfasts so I tried this place out. Got a very friendly welcome from the older gentleman on duty, who helpfully described the menu options to me. I was half-way down my supersized inclusive latte when a fantastic freshly cooked fry-up was delivered to my table. Can't fault the place, sorted me right out!

“Good diner food with everything you'd expect”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 December 2013

This is the place to come in from the rain and have an artery-busting English breakfast (coffee or tea included in the price), to take the grandchildren who only eat fish fingers anyway, or to furtively indulge in a burger and chips by yourself. If you don't expect fine restaurant ambience, you will not be disappointed in The Peel: it delivers what it promises, old-fashioned diner food, fast and with a smile.

“breakfast”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 December 2013

I normally go in here at weekends if I have a hangover. There is a good selection of breakfasts: small, medium, large and huge and they have a good coffee machine. Probably wouldn't go in for anything else though.

“Good old fashioned 'Greasy Spoon'”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 December 2013

Ideal for a good fry-up, but if you're looking much else I'd give it a miss.
Good value for money.
Very old fashioned in it's lay-out, varnished pine and faux red leather, booths!!! Says it all.
Staff very friendly, service quite quick, good cuppa tea and nice and hot.
Trouble is when you leave you smell like a deep fat fryer.

“Quick fry up”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 November 2013 via mobile

Ah what a way to cure a hangover, big mug of coffee and a massive well cooked full English breakfast, what more can you ask for from a greasy spoon on a Saturday morning??
