The Monopoly House exceeds expectations on all levels. The setting is almost make-believe: with hares hopping around the garden and a view to die for over the fields. Inside, nothing disappoints: there was Nespresso coffee, we found French cheese and parma ham in the fridge and there were fluffy White Company towels and toiletries in the bathrooms. Exceptionally, there was a large desktop Mac to browse our next meal out. The beds were divinely soft. Outside it was very quiet.
There was also croquet, badminton and even a cross-trainer supplied if the nearby walks through ancient Wessex woodland aren't sufficiently tiring. We had wonderful meals out close by in Tollard Royal and Shaftesbury. The local village shop has everything you could possibly want.
The owner was extremely helpful online and our only regret was that we were unable to stay longer.
