“Cosy nice & very quiet little cottage in the centre of Shaftesbury!”
Reviewed 11 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We had a wonderful lovely spring break in Summer Lodge in Shaftesbury. All attractions in the town are indeed walkable & the cottage itself is though small very practical and absolutely quiet. The kitchen was fully equipped & there was enough information about sightseeing attractions nearby. Ashley made us feel very welcome thanks to the basket of fruit, bread, biscuits etc... Thanks ever so much!
Definitely to be recommended!

“Still Excellent!!”
Reviewed 18 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Said at the end of our previous review (dated 24 October 2016) that we'd go back again, and we did!!

Just returned from a week chilling out at Summer Lodge. Same lovely cottage as last autumn, same friendly, helpful hostess Dawn, same welcome provisions to start off the fridge and larder, again much appreciated. Nothing much else changed around Shaftesbury other than Budgens has closed, leaving Tesco (about 4-5 minute walk) as the only supermarket in town.

Still highly recommended, and many thanks again to Dawn for another very enjoyable stay.

“A great stay in a nice place”
Reviewed 26 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Loved the well equipped and very clean cottage and the welcome pack was great. Right in the centre of Shaftesbury, but lovely and quiet. Definitely one of the best places we have stayed.

“A very relaxing and cosy holiday!”
Reviewed 16 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

The cottage was just what we expected, lovely layout, decor & cosy! We all thoroughly enjoyed it & you felt right at home :-) We where in the center of all the main tourist attractions too, which made it more beneficial! Some longer car journeys than others, but definitely worth the car ride! We were welcomed in a warm and friendly manner, with a nice selection of goodies to enjoy till we payed a visit to the local supermarket. We will be coming back in the near future as we enjoyed that much! :-P

“Great stay”
Reviewed 13 July 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Summer Lodge is right up there with the best of cottages we have stayed in, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We felt very welcome and at home straight away. The location is great, close to the centre but quiet and peaceful and the car parking space was very welcome. We enjoyed everything about our stay. Highly recommended.

“Perfect”
Reviewed 12 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

This was the best place we've ever stayed. It was beautifully furnished and impeccably clean with everything we needed. The shower was big and powerful, and hot. The beds were comfortable. It was very cosy and blissfully quiet. Great for walking into town to restaurants and shops. The friendly owner was lovely and provided a nice surprise of food for us on arrival. The courtyard parking was a bonus.
