We've eaten here two or three times and the food's always been very nice, good quality and well cooked and tasty. It is expensive for pub food, but that is the norm in Purbeck, I'm afraid. The portions aren't huge, by any means, but they're generally sufficient and I'd much rather eat here than somewhere which serves large portions of badly cooked, unpleasantly presented, stodge - of which there's more than a few around. The staff are always pleasant and helpful and there's always a nice relaxed atmosphere and the beer seems well kept. A word of warning though - they allow, nay welcome, dogs , which is one of the reasons we eat there, but only in one of the bars, so if you don't like dogs when you're eating you can use the other bar.
