As part of our School's Coast Project, we joined Mark and Tommo from Cumulus Outdoors for a day to experience Coasteering and Rock Climbing/Abseiling with a group of school children (age 7 to 12). We were drawn to the company by their professional and informative website and were further encouraged by their prompt and courteous communication and by their willingness to cater for the young children in our group. On arrival, we were fitted with our equipment quickly and then made our way to Dancing Ledge. After a clear safety briefing we plunged gratefully into the man-made pool - we were lucky to have picked a beautifully hot, sunny day - which provided a fun and exciting start for the children, some of whom were a little nervous. We then moved onto the jumps and, although all were encouraged to take part, it was made very clear that everyone should set their own goals and feel comfortable with what they were being asked to do. Indeed, once the jumps started increasing in height, some of our younger children decided to sit out and they were well looked after and given other routes to follow so didn't feel left out. As well as the jumps, we explored some caves and had great fun squeezing through small tunnels with the help of the wave movement. I have never known time to fly so quickly and we were having so much fun we could happily have carried on for another hour or two.
The rock climbing and abseiling was equally well organised with 2 stations set up for our 13 children. Great care was taken in setting up the equipment and ensuring the children were fully briefed with safety instructions. Encouragement was given to those who were nervous and all achieved some level of success.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day and would recommend this company highly to other school groups or families seeking 'safe' adventure. I'm off to persuade our Head that we would benefit from some 'Staff Training' with Cumulus Outdoors!

After seeing coasteering whilst out on my sea kayak, I thought it would be a great thing to do for my 40th Birthday. After contacting several local companies who run this activity I decided to go with Cumulus Outdoors as I liked their prompt responses, professional attitude & informative website (including some helpful videos). They also comunicated very well explaining what equipment was supplied & what we needed to bring (which was very little), where to meet & what to expenct. As I was booking for a group (13 people) they made the booking easy & the payment structure very straight forward. Once we arrived at the selected meeting point the staff where very friendly & got us straight on with getting our equipment sized and on correctly. Once we were at the starting point we were offer a drink of water and given a short safety briefing outlining the session to follow. Once we got started we had further safety briefing before each new challenge and the instructors preformend the challenge first and made sure everyone was happy with the instructions. Both of our instructors (Tommo & Mike) were excellent and their energy, enthusiasm & professionalism gave all of us real confidence to push ourselves which made the experience very fulfilling. We had a couple in our group who where not so keen on the bigger jumps and they looked after them very well encoraging them to set their own goals. Overall everyone in our group had a fantastic time (even the nervous ones) and we all agreed the Cumulus was a very good company to have done this experience with, Thanks Tommo & Mike.

Went half-day coasteering with Jack and Mikey from Cumulus on 21 June. We had a great time at Dancing Ledge, jumping and exploring caves. Both instructors were fantastic - excellent communication and safety awareness - everyone enjoyed the day. Thoroughly recommend Cumulus.

We went Coasteering with Tomo and team from Cumulus. They provided all the necessary safety kit and took us through a safey briefing. The actual coasteering was really fun. It is essential to have local guides that know the terrain and the Cumulus team were all very familiar with the area.

To summarise they are a professional company who you'll really enjoy working with.
