My wife and I stayed at Ulwell park in our tourer caravan. Great location and views. It was a terrible weekend weather wise, but that is the luck of draw. The Village Inn pub and resturant was fine. Staff friendly and helpful We eat twice and the meals were excellent. You wait a while, but the food is fresh and plenty. Suggest the gammon steak, very nice. The girls who serve work hard and always had a smile. The site it self was clean and tidy and the shower block was great. Plenty of showers and clean loo's !
We are a middle aged couple and had no issues what so ever. We will return and hopefully the weather will be better.

Great pitch, beautiful location, lovely facilities. The Village Inn serves excellent Palmers beer, the food is good and worth waiting for. The staff were friendly.
Lovely walks into Swanage, Corfe and around about. Busy the weekend we stayed as there was a folk festival and steam train gala in Swanage.
Will happily visit again and try one of the cabins.

We found Ulwell by accident at least 8yrs ago & have been coming twice a year ever since, we love the place!
Only had 1 problem with a caravan 2yrs ago, but we complained to the Management & they were so very helpful & made us feel very welcome when we returned the following year.
I love the restaurant & the barman/waitress's are always cheerful & very helpful to all requirements.
Why go anywhere else, this has it all, especially out of season - the peace & quiet is so lovely.
Carry on the good work Ulwell & we look forward to seeing you Sept 8th for another 10days stay.

Having been to Ulwell Cottage for the last 10 years both camping and staying in the static caravans, this is the first time we have left planning never to return!!
The site has a NO Group policy for camping, a shame this is not implemented, in the central camping area during our stay a group of 7 tents arrived, a rather noisy night with guitar playing and a camp fire, with noise well into the early hours!!! I would suggest you need a night warden during the high season who is both visible and proactive rather than a non answered mobile phone, secondly, the area in question is very open which does lend itself to groups, i would suggest you invest in some hedges.
Also the site has no control of cars coming in, on numerous occasions car were coming onto the site and driving around, i think looking at pitch numbers possibly for future bookings. Also due to the lack of control i did witness a camper van drive onto the site the couple used the shower facilities and then they drove off, happy and clean. Given shower and toilet facilities although are very good are very limited with one block for the entire site.
One final point on control you also say NO bikes, NO scooters and No Skateboards! i suggest you walk around the site during school holidays it will not be long before an accident happens!!

Just back from a week at Ulwell Cottage and had a lovely time as usual, this was our 3rd trip. We were part of a large family group in static caravans and on the campsite with ages from toddlers up to OAPs. The children loved the pool and we all loved the restaurant onsite, delicious food. Surprised about the negative bar staff comments on here, we found the pub excellent in every way. There is a clear sign above the door stating under 12's are not allowed at the bar (which we think is totally reasonable) but our little ones were welcomed at tables for meals and there is a family room for the children to the side of the bar. Thought the summer holiday kids entertainment on Tuesday night was good, and the quiz night on Sunday. Camping facilities good, only 4 showers but never had to queue as its a small site really, and loved the baby changing rooms with a waist height bath. Bit disappointed with other campers having loud music on past 9pm with some kids running around screaming, wonder if there is any kind of warden who checks? But nothing kept me awake late, I just wouldn't have liked to be trying to get a baby to sleep. It's a 20 minute walk into Swanage which we enjoyed, or the bus stops right outside the site. We managed to climb up to the obelisk, worth it for the views. The static caravans were clean and perfect for the dogs, no they weren't 'show' caravans but that was good as we didn't worry about the dogs! Shop and staff there very good. The only thing I would point out is the stinging nettles by the steps from the upper level camping area - just needs a maintenance person to chop them back to stop people in shorts/toddlers brushing against them. Can't wait until next year Ulwell, missing you already!

This was our first visit to Ulwell Cottage and we booked a mobile home for the week. Our mobile home was very modern & clean and was very well presented. The park showers were very modern, plenty of hot water on demand. Although we didn't use the on site pub it looked great and there was a family fun night on. My girls used the swimming pool which was modern and clean. The on site shop was well stocked and ideal for all those holiday essentials. The park is a 20 minute walk from the beach and is in a good location. I would have no doubt in visiting again - one word of warning the park does not allow any delivery vehicles on site! I had to meet my Tesco delivery driver in the layby over the road! I wouldn't mind but there was no mention of this in any of the literature/web site

We have been camping at Ulwell now for 33 years, in various sized tents, for 2 week stays, long weekends, and one night stops. We have always found the showers and toilets to be clean, in good working order, and plenty of hot water. The shop is very well stocked and the take away food is very good and reasonably priced. We do not use the swimming pool or the bar/restaraunt so cannot comment. The only issue we have is that we would like the shop to stay, open longer in the evening, perhaps 7.00pm instead of 6.00pm. The management and staff are always friendly and helpful, the setting is relaxing and interesting, and perfect location to reach all the wonderful places to visit around that area. We have already booked for next year, and will continue to holiday there for many years to come.

Room Tip: Quote the size of your tent so they make sure you have a pitch large enough.
