Great choice of breakfast. Afternoon tea a bargain. Evening meals can be eaten in the conservatory overlooking the bay, very romantic.

Thank Amanda P

Like others, my husband and I booked a Travelzoo voucher for the two course dinner in the Conservatory. We had a wonderful day: kayaking from Studland Bay to Old Harry's Rocks and then walking along Studland Beach.
We were both really hungry from all the exercise so arriving at the hotel asked whether we could bring forward our reservation. Our waitress was brilliant. Extremely efficient and very charming.
The starter was a bit of a disappointment. The portions very small. However, the main course more than made up for it. My Sea Bass was beautifully cooked and presented as was my Husband's pork medallions.
It was a wonderful end to a wonderful day. Thank-you Travelzoo and The Grand Hotel

Saturday 21st. Summer solstice. What a delightful lunch we had in the conservatory of this magnificent Victorian Hotel. Standing proudly on the Swanage Hillside defying everything the weather has thrown at it for over 100 years. Weather beaten but still resisting. We both had the Chilli Prawns to start then I had the Sea bass with new pots and green beans while Mrs Bob
tried the Risotto. Beautifully cooked and professionally served as we stewed nicely in the timeless conservatory under a blazing sun. Don't miss it. Only mildly negative issue was that they wouldn't let us park at the hotel for lunch. "Staying guests only!" So we had to trundle up the road to park. However it was well worth it.

My daughter and I went with aTravelzoo Voucher. It was lovely sunny day and we ate in the garden. It felt like being abroad. The food was tasty and well presented but quite small portions- I could have eaten both, but for what we paid £19 for 2courses for 2 of us it was fine. Also the views are lovely and the staff pleasant. Not sure about paying the full price though!
