Was ok, all the meat was average, chips were bits, presented well, was like your average 2 for £10, cheap and cheerful, but without the cheap.

Menu with typical pub food. We both had a burger which was very good. Not keen on brioche bun but everything fresh and good quality. Service pleasant. Would recommend.

Sadly at 6.30pm, whilst families were still eating, the landlord decided to 'pump up the volume' and took the music to the level of a nightclub. When challenged he showed no interest in protestations to the point of being arrogant and bullish. What he needs to remember is that the local clientele feed his ego but visitors feed his profits! Thankfully he did this before we had ordered food. We all left and enjoyed a fantastic meal across the road in the Trattoria Italian but felt sorry for those families left behind and having to endure.

Lovey pub restaurant with very good food. Burger was outstanding. it tasted like the highest quality fillet steak minced and cooked to perfection. The sauce they basted the burger in was incredible. My wife had a special, a goats cheese salad which was also amazing. We even ate here the following night as it was so good. The following night was not quite the same. Took 43 minutes for the food which in my opinion is fairly slow. The ham hock terrine was bland, and my wives salad had sat ready for quiet a while fr some reason. My son wanted chicken nuggets both nights and they did not look home made, which was a shame. Especially as the burger was so good and the salad the first night. The chef knows what he/she is doing but something must have gone wrong the second night. Five stars for the first visit but only 3 for the second so an average of four.
