We got an upgrade to suite and it was a cool room with a massive bed, integrated sound system and a bath tub in the room (although the windows were dirty). Other reviews will have outlined the benefits of the hotel in terms of location, breakfast and friendly staff. The only negative would be the riff raff that throng the bar at night when it becomes a loud and noisy location for hen and stag parties (we were there on a Saturday night, might be chilled other evenings). Check out the local restaurant "Bills" for lunch.

Booked this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews for my two year anniversary.... And have to say I was quite disappointed.

The underground car park is a joke and an absolute rip off at £25! When we got to reception we were told that we had been upgraded.... However not sure what the upgrade was as we ha already booked a superior room. We were told that our room rate did not include breakfast which made it an expensive stay and not good value for money.

The rooms are very basic and the bed/desk set up is strange. The bed was very small and there are no bed side tables. On a positive, the chaise-long in the window is lovely and the shower is great.

The hotel bar is really nice... Delicious cocktails and lovely ambience. It is open to the public so does get really busy after 9pm.

Wouldn't stay here again but would definately go to the bar for a drink.

But expensive rooms and didn't appreciate the fluorescent pink room.
The hotel bar is great.

Great location for sight seeing, a 2 minute walk from the Lanes and a 10 minute walk down to the Pier. We loved the modern hotel and the cocktail bar downstairs is definitely worth a visit! Our room was spotless and the bed was extremely comfy (we had a standard double room).
Although we enjoyed our one night stay, a few words of warning. Parking is extremely expensive nearby (£25 for 24 hours in the NCP carpark). The hotel is fine for 1 or 2 nights stay but no longer really due to there being limited hanging/storage space! You also need to be 'comfortable' with who you are sharing with as the bathroom is open plan!
Overall it is a fab hotel, Definately worth a visit!

Overall I think its looking a bit tired. Having chosen this hotel for a romantic weekend away my first impressions were of disappointment. When entering the room there was nothing romantic about it at all. Very clinical and considering we booked a more superior room I really could not see any difference to a normal room appart from the use of slippers and a robe. If you like to sleep in darkness then this definately isn,t the room for you - floor to ceiling blinds that do not block out any light whatsoever and even though the hotel is brilliantly located for all the local attractions it is extremely noisey. The bar downstairs was fun and very popular.

Stayed for 2 nights with G/f for a special occassion. Initial thoughts on the room were dissapointing. A bit
tired, clinical, bare, and not very romantic. But there were some positives- Great floor to ceiling windows, decent plasma tv, superb shower, lovely bed and sheets. Location is top-drawer, very central.

A great hotel for exploring Brighton, but not one for romantic couples who will be hoping for the wow factor.
