“Fabulous!”
Reviewed 9 August 2012

Had never been to Brighton before, and after checking out loads of websites and Trip Advisor I chose this place. Was not disappointed, it was absolutely fantastic! Paul, the owner was fabulous, upgraded us to a bigger room, and it was a good nice, with a nice size en suite shower room! Cleanliness was spot on, the sheets on the bed were sparkling white, and the bathroom was spotless. Tea and coffee and milk are provided in the room, as was a penguin bar! Very nice touch! Breakfast was fab, we went for the full English, the relish is superb, served with a massive pot of tea and jug of iced cold orange juice. We chose to have this is the cute little breakfast room, but you can have it in bed. Will definately come back here, we were made to feel so welcome. I thoroughly recommend the place.

Great value 4 the money. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice room near to beach and restaurants. The shower was very small but had showercreme and shampoo. Nice with coffe, milk and a choklate bar. If you not looking for Hiltonstandard, this is the place to stay in Brighton.

Have often walked passed this hotel and thought what a fun name. Had the opportunity to stay last night and it really lived up to expectations. The room (number 3) was small but not cramped. It was quirky and beautifully done. The owner was friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was fabulous. Quirky, fun, friendly I can not rate highly enough. I need to find a reason to return.

Stayed here for a two night weekend stay with my girlfriend. Check in was quick which was very handy as we were quickly dropping our bags off before parking the car elsewhere. Motel Schmotel do give you an option to use one of their two parking spaces before you visit, but as we had family living nearby we we parked with them instead.

We stayed in room one, which was situated at the front on the ground floor. Room was spacious, modern, contained great touches like fresh milk in the fridge, tea/coffee tray, a hair dryer and a tv. The bed was super comfortable - giving us a comfy and perfect sleep both nights. There was a bit of noise from people passing by the street on Saturday night but it didn't really disturb us, and by 1am had gone. There was a clothes rail - it only had three coat hangers which wouldn't be sufficient for some people, but I'm sure they would have provided more on request if we wanted.

The bathroom was small but adequate. It had everything we needed but was a little cramped.

Breakfast comprised of plenty of options, from fruit and cereal to an alternative full English. On both mornings we chose the full english, and it arrived with plenty of tea, coffee and orange juice, and was delicious. We did have the option of breakfast in bed which we noticed some guests went for, however we preferred to eat in the breakfast room.

Whenever we needed assistance with anything, the lady (can't remember her name) was approachable and friendly.

The B&B is very central which is great as bars and restaurants are within walkable distance.

Overall, a good B&B which is located two minutes walk away from the sea front. Would definitely stay again, great value for money as it was cheaper than many of the other places we had looked at.

Room Tip: Room One is situated on the ground floor at the front. Some noise from passers by outside and people...

Stayed 4 nights. Lovely very stylish room with nice details like fresh flowers and proper milk in little glass bottles. Bed very comfortable and room and bathroom scrupulously clean. The best thing however is scrumptious breakfast in bed delivered to your room at no extra charge.

My boyfriend and I only stayed on night, but the location was great (2 mins from the sea and about 15 mins walk from the train station), the owners were very friendly, and the breakfast was brilliant. You get loads to choose from - we both had the full English which benefits from good quality sausages, bacon and bread, very good! And, as a big bonus, you can have it in bed if you like. Great little touches as well like real milk and cold water in the fridge, nice fairtrade teabags and coffee, and a penguin bar each! Win.

We really liked our room (we had number 10, with the bath in it) - it was comfortable and a good size. The only thing I would say is that if, like me, you are a light sleeper and want a lie in, maybe choose a room upstairs as I did wake up a few times in the morning from the noise in the breakfast room which is next door. But, definitely recommend this place, we had a lovely time, and it is perfect if you want to be able to walk everywhere!

Room Tip: Choose a room upstairs if you are a light sleeper and are worried about the breakfast noise waking y...

My boyfriend and I have recently stayed for one night, and we had a thoroughly nice stay here. The owner Paul couldn't have been nicer and more helpful, and gave us loads of tips on what to do and where to eat. The breakfast was lovely, there was loads to choose from, we both had full english, mine a vegi version which was great! The hotel is very nicely decorated and the bed was really comfortable. We had room 2 and although it wasn't one of the smallest in the hotel it was a little snug, but it was perfect for our requirements. The bathroom was tiny but again perfectly fine and the shower was great! All in all this is a great base in Brighton, it's so close to the seafront and the shops but also very quiet. And the parking space was a huge bonus. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in Brighton.
