Description: However popular the North Laine becomes, the heart of Brighton will always remain The Lanes themselves. There are plenty of pubs among the twisting narrow streets, but none is as well known as the Bath Arms, which enjoys a reputation among tourists and locals alike as THE pub of The Lanes.

“Favourite Pub in The Lanes”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

Been coming to this pub regularly now for the past 6 or so years. Surprising to find such a proper local pub in such a touristy part of town. Simon and his staff are all really welcoming and friendly so it is a great place to head to when by myself as you are always guaranteed a great welcome.

Food is good too, have eaten here many times, their cassoulet in the wintertime is brilliant and very filling. Love the rarebit too. Sunday lunch is always good - something that so many pubs get wrong.

If you like people watching, then its location on the corner of two lanes is perfect. As all of Brighton seems to pass by in the space of few pints of great ale.

“One of the best!!”
Reviewed 19 August 2014 via mobile

I vist the baths arms maybe 1-3 times per month, although I've never written a review.
I usually eat with friends there or with my wife.
This place has a daily changing food menu which is always of consistent ( quite difficult to find in a pub in Brighton ) quality.
Probably the best pub food in Brighton I've tried. The potted rabbit, the Welsh rarebit,
crab mayo all lovely.
Something bigger and there pork belly may tempt you or the fish and chips is amazing also, try a side of meats if really hungry!
It's not the cheapest but it uses top ingredients.
The service is not the quickest but this is a good reflection on the food as if it takes time it's usually good.
A great selection of drinks is on offer from the lovely staff.
Sunday roast is defiantly up there with the best!
Highly recommended!!!!

“Old styled pub in heart of Brighton”
Reviewed 18 August 2014 via mobile

Had a lovely meal here on Saturday afternoon whilst out for day with friends. Service not that quick but we were eating early so in no hurry. Food really good - especially the fish and chips. Very friendly staff. Right in the middle of 'The Lanes' - a little pricey but probably average pricing for Brighton.

Went to the Bath Arms last night for dinner with my friend, and the food was amazing and the waitress was lovely, really enjoyed my evening...well worth a visit, will become one of my regular places to eat from now on. Best meal I have had in a pub in a long time.

“Busy Oldie Worldie pub in the South Lanes”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

Wooden floor, tables and stools on the corner in the middle of the South Lanes surrounded by antique jewellery shops, down narrow winding cobbled alleys with bunting flying overhead. Pub grub menu, nothing exciting.
