“Christmas period”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 January 2014

Stayed for christmas period , when we arrived the lady on the desk was very rude and not polite at all could not find our bookings which were for 4 rooms, I felt for Christmas Day night the staff were sitting on a stool at the bar then there friends come in we're sitting with for rest of night , breakfast could be better more choices needed , we stayed at front of hotel for 2 of the night the disco next door went on to 3 in the morning and we had family rooms .

Room Tip: If you are going as a family do not have the rooms on 1st floor at the front .

Thank you for your feedback Serena M. We expect our reception team to provide a warm and friendly welcome to all of our guests and for them to be professional at all times so we are truly sorry to learn you found them to be impolite. Unfortunately due to the location of the hotel, we cannot always prevent external noise, however in an attempt to reduce the noise we do provide double glazing and insulated windows. We will be sure to pass on your comments to the hotel management team so that they are able to remind their staff of the importance of customer care.

not the cheapest and not the best.. it was ok, nothing special...... Bathroom curtain was the cleaniest... Staff were very good tho, especially the staff in the food area.. Breakfast which is an extra charge, was good.

Excellent value for money with a sea view room. friendly staff I would definitely recommend this budget hotel for a short break in Brighton. The room was a little dark but this is only due to the small windows.

Excellent value for money - good location. This Travelodge has been upgraded ....nice comfortable bed, new funiture, lick of paint and a refurbed bathroom This means that the bath has been replaced by a large shower tray and retiled throughout. Same mouldy window though :(

I stayed at this Travelodge for a weekend away with my boyfriend for Christmas. I really enjoyed my stay, lovely room on the fifth floor ,very clean and tidy. This hotel is in a great location of Brighton. The sea front is right by the hotel and you can see the sea through the Windows of the hotel. The town and the Lanes are right on your door step and you can easily walk to these places.

Me and my boyfriend also stayed here in September for the first time and we both really loved the hotels and would recommend staying here just consider the noise of the club next door.

Only one concern about this Travelodge is the noise as you are right by a local club and you can always hear the clubber's leaving the club. I did find it hard to sleep with that noise but other than that no other problems.

This hotel offers a lovely buffet breakfast including cooked breakfast and continental. I really enjoyed the breakfast and it was the thing I looked forward to most in the morning.

Overall lovely hotel and I would definitely stay here again for weekend in Brighton.

Went there with a friend for a night out in Brighton. This hotel is very good value for money. It was much better than I expected based on other reviews.. The room was large, clean and modern. You won't get much better budget hotels in such a good location.

The title says it all. We usually go mid-range price wise but left it a bit late to book so, as we weren't prepared to pay top dollar we plumped for the apparently newly refurbished Travelodge! (I dread to think what it looked like before!) Well situated and convenient for the shopping, bars and restaurants. I'm glad we were on an upper floor though as I can imagine the noise into the early hours would have stopped us sleeping! Our room on the 7th floor was small but clean. No remote for the tv as presumably they keep going walkies! Water pressure for both shower and sink was very poor. Parking is very close by in Russell Street but be warned. Apparently you can get 25% discount by getting your ticket validated at reception but it didn't work for us. Paid £25 to park for 20 hours. Inclement weather and the need to get somewhere stopped us taking the walk back to raise issue with said reception. So, in a nutshell, if all you want is a bed for the night at a decent price in the centre of Brighton then this is fine but I've stayed in better Travelodges.
