We stayed here for one night in mid December, choosing it because of the reviews we found on trip advisor. The owner was very pleasant and helful, and the location was great. BUT there was a horrible air-freshener smell in the public areas of the hotel, no bar or lounge- I think this along with many other 'hotels' is really a B&B which justifies its charges by calling itself a hotel. The room was large and comfortable with everything we needed and a roomy en-suite bathroom.
What really let this place down for me was the terribly, terribly uncomfortable bed. We paid for a four poster and yes it was a four poster but wuith such a cheap mattress that you could feel all the springs through that it made the addition of posts on the bed utterly pointless. I am not a picky person, I camp and am not averse to roughing it but felt the description of this 'hotel' was misleading and ultimately disappointing.
