Went for lunch, after 13 years of thinking "ooooh I must try there!!". Its really old fashioned but in a nice comforting way. The décor, the music, the table settings. Greeted by the owner, very sweet. The quick set lunches are all quite reasonable at about £6 each inc salad. But we went for a la carte. I must admit I was quite surprised at how pricey they were. £13 upwards, nearing the £18 mark for chicken. But I opted for pasta (£8.95ish) was quite nice. The wine (Portuguese Chardonnay was er Meh) Finished off with a home made trifle. (I know.....I havn't had one since me Nans house!) Very nice though. I said to my wife, there must be a good reason why the meat menu is so much, so next time we visit, we shall treat ourselves! Not bad. Worth a visit.
