We went to this restaurant with friends on a last minute "not sure where to go" evening. We have walked past this restaurant on most of our nights out in Brighton over the years and always said "must try that one night" but never did. This time we did and it was a really great evening. The food, ambiance and staff were all great.Three of us had the Liver and Bacon from the specials board and it was as good as I have ever had.All the other food and drinks we had were as good and the staff were attentive and good fun.We will definetly going back and it is just a shame we never tried it before as we have missed out on some great food and good nights out.The restaurant is quite small with the tables fairly close together so be aware that you might not be to far from other guests. We did not find this a problem in this restaurant as talking to other guests was part of the atmosphere.

This small restaurant is tucked away down the side street (Market Street).
It has seating outside on the street - excellent for people watching.
Food is very good - we had an fantastic breakfast.
Very reasonably priced.
Not hassled in any way by the very efficient waiting staff.
Fantastic - will go again.

Cosy little restaurant in The Lanes. It was raining on the evening we visited so everyone was inside. This meant every table was taken and there was a nice lively atmosphere. My partner who is dairy intolerant was catered for carefully and thoughtfully and the food was delicious. Despite their business, the waiters were good humoured and the food served promptly. The following lunchtime when we passed by, many of the the outside tables were taken and once again the food looked great. Would recommend.

Walked passed twice and was worried as the place was hardly full but the menu tempted us and it was a really good decision because food was very good and homemade which made it even better. The owner is friendly and even stopped us ordering too much which is unusual as they normally want you to spend spend this guy just wants you to leave full and happy which we did so try the place it's great.

Frequented this restaurant a few times a month when I lived in Brighton.

The atmosphere is cosy and has a relaxing atmosphere although situated in the busy lanes.

The food is very good for the price, as previous reviewers have suggested it's not the best, but the food is none the less very good and for the price you pay I can't think of anywhere that is better value.

The restuarant staff are attentive and can not remember ever receiving bad service here.

Back in Brighton in a few weeks so will definitely be dropping in.
