This was a lovely place but something has gone wrong. As others have said, there aren't enough waiters and it's got to be really bad value for money. There were 6 of us sharing and someone ordered mushrooms, they brought 5 tiny mushrooms between us. The portions are the sort of size they'd give you for free in Spain.
Nice wine and lovely fizz, best just to get a drink and some bread and olives before a show, don't try to get a full meal or you'll be hungry or broke.

I really wanted to leave a positive review as I love Spanish food and saw there weren't many reviews for Bodega on Trip Advisor... unfortunately I don't really have much positive to say about this restaurant. There wasn't anything 'terrible' about it but the service was slow, the food was average in quality, the portions were tiny and the price was way too high for what we were getting. As an example, we paid £7.90 for a plate of Jamon Iberico (Ham) which had four tiny pieces of sub-standard ham. The olives were straight out of a jar - I bought some from Asda the day after that were so much better. Alarm bells should have been ringing as it was the only tapas restaurant in Brighton that wasn't fully booked on a Saturday night. On the plus side, the decor was nice and the location is pretty convenient, and the Sangria was good and not overpriced. But... I left hungry, disappointed, and with too little money in my pocket - wish I hadn't bothered going.

A nice little unpretentious tapas bar opposite the Dome. Friendly Spanish staff, Spanish ambience, simple (ok, fairly basic) food at down to earth prices. Very good and recommended!

We wanted tapas and the sister restaurant was full, so we went here. We have been before for a birthday and were disappointed by the lack of quality and choice and hoped this may have improved but sadly not. The service is fine but the food is ridiculously overpriced for the quality -£5.95 for pulled pork brochette ( which translate as 3 small coins of tough pork and 3 triangles of roasted peppers), the worst patatas bravas and I am sure the ham was from a supermarket packet and not carved from a leg of ham. Not authentic, not cheap (as our £53 bill for 6 items proves) and we leave hungry and disappointed.
The rule is if the restaurant is full it must be good - so the sister restaurant is full and only the poor relation is available .... Avoid Bodega

Having visited a few times and loved the simple, honest quality of the service, food and wine, we decided to invite a very well travelled wine supplier friend for Tuesday evening dinner. Needless to say we all left very happy! The sister restaurant on Sydney St is equally good.
