A lovely compact theatre, allows everyone to feel they are realy close to the performance. Extrenmely friendly staff throughout. Great little bar at the side of entrance. Great service.

Went to see the comedian, Dave Spikey. Very old fashioned place that's full of character.

The Theatre Royal Brighton makes a trip to see a play a real occasion. It has recently been revamped and looks pretty stunning and impressive.
Like many theatres it has problems with not enough ladies loos and awkward access to various parts of the buildings, including some of the bars, but that's not a big issue for me. The circle bar has a balcony from where you can look out over Brighton Pavilion and other local attractions.
Generally you get a good range of plays and music events on at the Theatre Royal. There are a number of local venues so the incentive is there to provide an interesting programme to attract customers.
The booking system is pretty good - you know exactly what kind of view you're going to get. I love front row seats in the circle, although the leg room is rather limited.
Definitely worth a visit.

Been several times and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. However, we went there a few months ago to see La Cage aux Folles and it was SO hot I got up and went home at the interval. Sadly no panto this year. Instead we have Spamalot, which is not suitable for children. Surely Christmas time is all about families and children..!!
