Description: Sabai show's tremendous consistency having won a certificate of excellence award for the last 4 years running. The Thai word Sabai translates simply as relaxed, the perfect description of this Brighton gastrobar where the urban cool of London on Sea is matched to the ethnic charm of the Land of Smiles. Bringing a taste of Phuket's beach bars and Bangkok's most upmarket restaurants to the UK, Sabai is all about chilling out, South East Asian style a fact which is patently clear from the silk floor cushions, cocktail menu and warm, smiling welcome. The deep red and dark wood, gold and green interior is as beautiful as Sabai's freshly cooked, authentic food, MSG free and made using local ingredients where possible and imported Thai herbs and spices where essential. Because everything is made to order, special requests are welcomed.

We travel from East London to eat here on a regular basis, staff great, very friendly and food that you couldnt find better even in Thailand,,, Best restaurant in Brighton without any doubt.
Menu choice great, lunch time special excellent value without any compromise on quality,, this place is a must.
The fact we travel over 50 miles for lunch shows how good this restaurant is.When in Brighton we wouldnt go anywhere else.

From the minute we walked in the door until we left, customer service 100%.
Had the special offer menu, £9.95 3 course,, superb,
Chicken/pork satay, Yum Neau (spicy Beef Salad,) Steamed Rice and banana friter with ice cream,, 3 of us had 3 courses, 3 drinks £35, I travel to Thailand regularly and this was as good as any food in Thailand,
Will return and although I live in London will make this a regular restaurant.
If in Brighton tbhis place is a MUST,,you really dont know what you are missing.

I booked this restaurant for my sisters hen party. We had a brilliant time, excellent service, excellent food, excellent cocktails !! Not only was the food delicious the prices were very good, most of us ate from the set menu which was £7.50 for 2 courses which all the girls thought was great value for money. The food was presented beatufilly and the cocktails especially were amazing !! The staff were very friendly and our food was all on time. The manager was very accomodating to our needs and we had our own area in the restaurant where we ate on cushions above everyone else. I would definietly recomment this place to anyone, hopefully I will be returning very soon. Big thanks to all the staff who made it so amazing for us.

We had a really great meal at the Sabai... not only do they have a great Thai menu but the drinks menu also catered for everyone. As the evening went on it became obvious to us that many of the customers were regulars who knew the team who run the restaurant and as our meal progressed it was obvious why........ A really friendly team of staff and excellent food. Make sure you book as we could see people being turned down as the restaurant was fully booked.

Tucked away and hard to find, the Sabai Thai Gastrobar is a reasonably priced Thai restaurant in central Brighton. The food is average and not authentic enough for my taste, lacking in fresh chillies and a bit bland. I was advised that my curry would be hot and spicy but it was mild and a bit disappointing. The rest of the meal was satisfactory and the service was good.
A good place for a quick and relatively cheap Thai meal in central Brighton, but not for a special night out.
