We book the Christmas package as well as one extra day stay. The customer service is superb and the food is absolutely exquisite;we are lost for words for menu and the brilliance of the Chef. The original room was upgrade to Chamber Unique and for £30 extra per night it is a must. Not only it is a sea view room but the square footage is more than enough for not feeling confined. The bedlinen is of superb quality and the wet room is just what we needed as one of us has a mobility difficulties. Starbucks coffee machine, Sky HD, Free wireless are the little extra elements that make this stay absolutely great. The spa has a wide range of treatments and I was very happy with the massage and facial. Would highly recommend. The extreme weather conditions last Monday when we arrived meant that it was very difficult to even get out of our car due to strong gales; however the concierge were very helpful and the car is simply taken care of there and then right in front of the entrance. The staff seem to function brilliantly especially in the restaurant where a French guy seems to perform miracles: his strategy and immaculate delegating to restaurant staff meant that service to 250 people went on without one single hick up. Overall I would highly recommend this place to anyone, families, couples, business people or if you simply fancy a weekend away to relax and indulge in the spa. 5* service!!!!

Room Tip: I would encourage you to upgrade if you can as it is really a different sort of thing all together i...

Stayed here for my husbands Christmas Party as we have done for the past 4 years.
Definatley noticed a change with the refurbishments - for the better. Our room was quite large with 2 lovely full lenghth mirrors. We were nopt lucky enough to have a sea view this year, so we had to make do with the 'inner view' however we are not really in the room and at this time of year you dont really miss alot!!
The only downside was our room was TOO hot!! I called reception before we went out and they did send maintenance to turn the heating off, however we still had to open a window and it was uncomfortably hot all night
On the plus side all the team that we interacted with were helpful and pleasant, a big thank you to the lady who did my make up in the Spa (sorry cant remember her name), very helpful and friendly.
Well done to the management - you are going in the right direction!! I am sure we will see you again soon

We could not speak highly enough of one of this years Party Nights and stay over. From arrival until departure we were hosted by excellent staff who were most welcoming and attentive to every detail. The accommodation is excellent and the more recent refurbishment of restaurant and function rooms on the ground floor is a great asset to the hotel. And, if you are looking for a great 'Christmas Party' night for next year then look no further as this will be hard to beat: again with excellent food, service and disco. Well done and thank you De Vere!

I stayed here the night before my wedding in April, and I can't praise this hotel enough. The newly refurbed room was stunning, still keeping the "seaside theme" but with lovely muted greys and pinks in the colour scheme, really comfy beds and gorgeous view over to the Palace and West pier.

We had dinner in the bar downstairs as the weather was terrible, and the food was great, nice gastro pub style burgers and fish and chips, with great service.

The hotel threw in a few little extras as it was my wedding the next day, and the room service breakfast was lush! The hotel even were kind enough to post back my dress which I accidentally left in the room.

Special thanks to Alice one of the managers, who is really friendly and made sure our stay was extra special! You definitely get what you pay for and this hotel is beautiful. I didn't get to try the spa but will be back! And have since for afternoon tea which I would also recommend!

We stayed at the Grand recently and enjoyed it immensely. It has a lovely ambience and the position makes it an ideal hotel for a weekend break. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable and the food was excellent.

Booked a table for a breakfast meeting and I won't be repeating the experience again any time soon.
A very limited choice of cooked breakfast items, lukewarm coffee, cold bacon and unattentive staff made this an occassion best forgotten.
Very disappointing to say the least.

This new restaurant in the Grand is a smart classy addition to the Brighton Restaurant scene.
After two visits for lunch on their incredible 'special' menu, I continue to be impressed by the presentation ,the quality and the welcome. A slight problem, noticed by a fussy friend is that the service staff seemed untrained and slow at the bill time.
But overall a great lunch experience and fantastic value . Choose to sit in the conservatory for lunch or at the bar in the evening for a glass of champagne and oysters.
