“Christmas dinner”

Me and my family had our Christmas dinner at the metropole, we had an wonderful time in the Windsor restaurant the food was outstanding and the staff were faultless especially the Irish named restaurant manager who was brilliant with my elderly mother he made her very comftable. We plan to have this years christmas dinner at the metropole again and plan to go for Sunday brunch and crean tea more often as we have heard it has the same faultless service! I would like to say a big thank you to the restaurant staff for truly giving us a very merry Christmas

We have just returned from a 1 night stay at the Hilton Brighton Metropole and we were very impressed with the hotel! It is in a perfect location for a walk along the beach as well as to get into the town centre. The staff at check in were very helpful and phoned us when our room was ready as we were a little early. The room was huge and very well maintained...although a little warm and we couldn't see any way to change the temperature. All the public areas of the hotel are very impressive with marble, huge winding staircases and chandeliers! we also used the hotel pool which was really lovely for a relaxing hour in the afternoon. The service in the bar was a little slow but the cocktails were lovely! The breakfast was fantastic, I've never seen so much choice! I think we arrived down for breakfast at the right time though as there was a large queue of people waiting to be seated when we left. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Brighton and would definetly recommend this hotel to firends and family!

I was pleased to read that our process for informing guests that there rooms are now ready worked well and you were contacted once your room had been prepared for you and sorry that it was warm on this occasion and that you could not find the controls for the air cooling unit in the room, I will certainly review our room signage. I was delighted to read that your enjoyed our famous Breakfast with its vast choice and can only apologise if you felt the service a little slow.

The Hilton Brighton has everything EXCEPT a comfortable bed. We asked reception if they had other beds and were told no but they did remake the bed with another duvet underneath? Everything else was nice, big room, lovely view with a little balcony ... We upgraded for 30£ per night which was worth it.

All of our mattresses have been replaced in the last 12 months to the Hilton Serta Mattress and they have also now been provided with a new mattress topper which should provide an excellent and relaxing nights sleep and I will certainly review this with my housekeeping manager.

I stay at the Brighton Metropole fairly regularly because of my job and i normally do not have a problem at this hotel. However, on my last stay there (December 2011) i jumped into the shower on the morning that i was checking out and noticed that the water coming out of the shower was brown!! I have never jumped out of a shower so quick! To make matters worse, i had just brushed my teeth in the sink. This meant i felt sick from drinking some of this water, and having to go to work after washing in this water!

I wrote a letter of complaint as soon as i got home after this experience and to my amazement haven't even had a letter of acknowledgement back! That was the beginning of December, it is now mid January! You would think that a global brand as big as the Hilton would be hot on keeping customer's happy and responding promptly. I think this is disgusting as they are quick enough to take your money, but when things haven't been up to a 4* hotel standard, they don't even respond. Because of this i will no longer be choosing to stay at the Brighton Metropole hotel, the Grand hotel next door will now be getting my business.

Thank you for your feedback posted following your stay and I have sent you a message asking you to contact me so I can discuss your feedback in more detail and would be delighted to do so.

We did have an isolated incident on the morning you are highlighting which meant that some of the rooms did receive for a short period of time discoloured water and I can only apologise that this was the case for you. We were not aware of the problem until it was highlighted to us.

Please accept my personal apologies for not responding to your letter, but it does not seem to have been received at the hotel.

I do hope we have the opportunity to restore your faith in the hotel following this isolated incident and hope to be able to welcome you back in the near future.

had a wonderful time at this hotel, it was absolutely beautiful, the room was great with two balconies and a great bathroom. We loved it here, the only negative was the hotel website does not do justice to how great the hotel is.

Very nice hotel located right on the beach front. The front desk receptionist are super friendly and helpful and the process to check-in was simple and fast. We upgraded our room so we had a deluxe king room which was nice. The walls were a little empty and could do with a nice piece of artwork. We had an ocean view with a small balcony so the view was spectacular. The room was large and we had lots of space, and the bathroom was just as fantastic as we had a bathtub, shower and lots of towels. Also, we had complimentary water and jelly beans!!

As this is a Hilton Metropole, this seems to be a nicer and bigger hotel then the regular Hilton. The parking is £16/day allowing for unlimited ins/outs and the lot is not connected to the property ~ it's a small walk away.

Drinks and food at the bar are a little pricier but then again it's a hotel bar so we expected the higher fee. Nice atmosphere and ambience as there's a nice view of the ocean.

The dining area is large and quite grand. We only had the buffet breakfast which was great. The lineup for the chef to have customized eggs, waffles, or french toast is a bottle neck as people are also waiting for their fried eggs. You would need to speak up to see if he's taking customized order. if not, you'll be standing in the line for a while. If you can sit in the main dining area, you'll see a nice ocean view otherwise it's just all walls in the over flow room.

Outside of this hotel, it's close to the pier, shopping district, mall, Royal Pavilion and other venues of interests.

Again, since our room is upgraded, I would stay here again.
