“Great Hotel - almost”

We stayed one night because our son had an audition in Brighton. The rooms had a fabulous sea view and the hotel is in a great position. The decor was modern and in good condition, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was first class. There were just a couple of niggles. The french doors that opened onto the balcony didn't close tight so the traffic noise could be heard clearly in the room. Room service was ok - the soup I ordered wasn't quite as expected and the delivery person didn't bring any cash change for bill payment and so had to go away and come back again! Also we couldn't log onto the wifi - the concierge tried to resolve the problem but there was a possibility it was our laptop security and for one night it wasn't worth spending too long resolving the issue. Overall a good value hotel in a wonderful town.

Booked this hotel simply because it had a pool. Opted for a large suite with sitting room as my husband and I were travelling with our baby and we wanted space. My husband was in Brighton on business and thought the business services at the hotel were great. In the day I visited the pool which was ok, nothing flash, but clean nonetheless.

Had room service a couple of times and the food was just ok.

Location was great and we will be returning again later in the year with our four children. Unfortunately we were unable to book the next stay at the desk as we were told we would get a better rate booking online. Tried to book online only for the system to say we needed to ring to make the booking :-(

Room Tip: Suites at the front of the hotel have balconies and French doors overlooking the sea - great views

Have stayed at this hotel several times, and have always found it to be very good, clean rooms, friendly staff and good restaurant, all what you want from a hotel and more. On this occasion 19/20th April we decided to try the Holiday Inn, what a mistake, we ended up coming to the Hilton for drinks in the evening on our first night and booked a meal in their restaurant on the 2nd night. The reason why I am writing this review although we didn't actually stay on this occasion was because of the magnificent steak meals we had in their restaurant with two amazing staff that waited on us their names were Maria and Ollie, we were celebrating my husbands birthday and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening, these two are a credit to the Hilton. We will definitely be staying at this Hilton again.

We stayed in a suite at the Metropole back in December and although the space and the view were excellent we were a little disappointed with the decorative state of the room.

The hotel bar was superb and the Club sandwich is a real winner for a hearty snack.

All of the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay.

If the rooms are modernised then this would definitely be a full marks review, but until then they'll have to settle with very good

We booked a suite for the weekend which had a great sea view but was dated and to be honest not worth the room rate
We booked a meal in the hotel and yet again a very dated decor and the food was cold
The bar was the best bit, great wines and great service well done to all the bar staff
Receptionists where very good and handle my moans very well and agreed that my suite was in need of TLC and due to be refitted
Apart from the above we had a great time and will be back soon

I stayed at Hilton Brighton with my work mates for a conference in November. The service was good, staff were great and the delegates were very happy. The receptionists were very nice and professional. The breakfast, lunch and dinner were fantastic. Special thanks to Uwem and Ionie for making the event a success and providing such excellent service.

Room Tip: Ask for sea-view rooms.

Stayed here couple of days ago. Got a very cheap negotiated rate as was late at night, and then was allocated a sea view which was very nice. The room was clean and tidy, but slightly dated, not got that Hilton spark. The bathroom walls, floor, door (which wasn't hung correctly and glass which meant there was a gap round it) didn't really go together. Toiletries were very good standard, as was the view. The curtains (4 of them) were very confusing...didn't all pull correctly and were just odd the way they sat. It is a nice hotel, the lobby was great, and can't fault the few members of staff I encountered. The room is excellent for Brighton standards, but if I'd have paid full price I would have felt a bit let down.
