A good 4 star hotel right on the sea front, 10 minutes walk from the city centre, shops, pubs and eateries. The rooms are a little old and tired but clean and roomy. 28 car parking spaces and excellent food with helpful and friendly staff.

room lighting could be better

Very good location short walk to the pier and the Lane's Old style hotel but comfortable, good breakfast in the restaurant or bar £6,99 if you pay the night before, lovey sea views from restaurant and bar Had.to stay an extra night because of the storm and decided to eat at the hotel .Restaurant manager and waitress were excellent but the meal was not so good. we hope to stay at this hotel again but would not have a evening meal here .We travel quite a bit and have to say all the staff at this hotel are the best we have come across they could not do enough for us ,well done to you all.

We stayed here in Novemeber so it wasn't all that busy compared to summer. The service is great free wifi works well. Our room was great king bed very comfy clean bathroom. It's a 10min walk to the pier and to the older part of town if you like the history as we do. There are plenty of pubs or restaurants a short walk way. The only negative I could point out was the parking as I said lucky it wasn't overly busy as there is limited parking and it costs a whopping £18 a night. In my opinion that's a little expensive but we paid it. We had a drink at the bar and Rory was ever so friendly. Our room was situated toward the back of the hotel away from the noise of the busy street out front so I liked that. Defiantly would stay here again.

Dear Suz08j,

Thank you for taking the time to review the Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel on Trip Advisor. Its always a pleasure to receive such fantastic and encouraging feedback.

Unfortunately car parking is somewhat of a premium in brighton and being a city centre hotel with a limitied car park we do charge a very competitive price of £18 a night coming in cheaper than anywhere else in brighton. We do have hotels within the company that offer free car parking but these are not city centre hotels and have ample space.

It is alwayd great when a prticular team member is mentioned and i am sure Rory will be delighted when he learns he has been mentioned.

I will be discussing your feedback with the team, to whom I know will be equally delighted with your feedback, and will serve as a motivator for them.

If I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate in contacting me directly.

We stayed at this Hotel for a weekend 9 adults and 3 children and were joined by other members of our family for coffee on Sunday morning. A lovely Hotel, generous sized rooms, super comfortable beds and all round great service from the staff.Good breakfast too ,eaten in the restaurant with super sea views. We all felt 'looked after'.
Only disappointment the Swimming Pool was not available such a shame .It was also very very hot, obviosly you could turn bedroom radiators off,but in the public areas it was tropical !
But those things were minor,I would stay there again. Thankyou Mercure, BrightonSeafront.
A special thankyou to the Bar staff on Sunday Morning.

Dear iansonmary,

Thank you for taking the time to review the Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel on Trip Advisor. Its always a pleasure to receive such great and encouraging feedback.

Unfortunately we do not have our own swimming pool or spa facilities as compared to other hotels but there are some situated close to the hotel, which the reception team would be only too happy to print of the details for our guests.

I will be discussing your feedback with the team, to whom I know will be equally delighted with your feedback, and will serve as a motivator for them.
