Breeze is actually really lovely. We visited about 4pm and stayed until 10pm so it must have been good. The food is a delight. Starters of deep fried camembert and bruschetta were fresh and light and larger in portion than I would have anticipated. Our mains - prawn linguini and chicken Breeze (pollo Milanese by any other name) were delicious and portions very generous, all clearly freshly made. Our chocolate fondant dessert could have been whipped out of the oven a minute sooner but that's a very small quibble to be honest as a fondant is notoriously difficult and it tasted great! Cocktails were 2 for 1 for 4 hours at £6.50 for 2. That's got to be a bargain. The only reason I give it 4 and not 5? Same reason as everyone else - the waiter when we first came in, no smile, no effort and slow service. It was as if he was doing us a favour. Luckily after 6pm another waiter joined him who was lovely but otherwise I suspect we'd have moved on after dinner to another location. As it was we stayed all evening. Very, very nice but sort out the customer service!

I choose this restaurant after looking for a fun place to eat (on trip advisor) in Brighton on my husband Birthday. Breeze, was in a great location, decor and lay out of the restaurant was good. Our waiter however was so miserable and unhelpful that is almost became funny. Luckily after a couple of the cocktails they had on offer it seemed to matter less but that's not really the point. His mood did cast a shadow over the experience. The other staff that also came to our table were no better. The food was ok. Lacked a chefs touch and looked like it had all come out of the deep freeze. Wouldn't go back or recommend to others. Bit disappointed.

To the untrained eye on first glance Breeze appears to be a hip urban bistro, but it didn't take me too long to work out that whoever put the place together omitted the style required to blend all the design influences together. It feels somewhere between a brothel and a place of worship- the industrial lampshades were a clear afterthought to bring this place into the now. The cocktails were good and reasonably priced, the risotto balls were tasty but enormous, lacking the delicacy of arancini as we know it. Let downs were subtle but key, undercooked oversized chips and low budget mass catering mayonnaise- simplicities such as these give the game away. Give it a miss

I often visit Breeze with work colleagues and visitors for either breakfast or lunch on weekdays. The food and service is always excellent and our visitors often ask to return there. Great atmosphere and food choices.
