“At least the coffee was good”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2014

Having enjoyed the breakfast special on many occasions, we decided to linger over the full breakfast last Saturday. What a mistake! The bacon was undercooked and rubbery, the fried egg was broken and overcooked, the hash brown was greasy and undercooked, the sausage had seen better days and everything was shovelled on the plate with absolutely no attention to detail. The coffee was excellent but since it came from a machine that was probably to be expected. Someone needs to give some urgent lessons to the cooks.
A great shame as the venue is brilliant and the sea views gorgeous. Shame about the wobbly cheap plastic furniture but someone is making a fortune and they clearly do not care about the comfort and eating experience of their clients.

“Attacked by pigeons”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 February 2014

Visited this place last weekend, poor table covered with water. I ended up sitting down getting a wet backside. Tables dirty and pigeons landing on the tables. I had breakfast but it was served cold. Would not return.

“Needs a bit of attention”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 February 2014

The breakfast was just ok, not worth £6.75. The plastic furniture is dirty, broken and covered in bird poo, overrun with pigeons although this is not necessarily the owners fault, but the idiot customers that feed them. Just feel this place needs a little bit of attention.

“Location, Location, Location!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2013

One of my favourite places for an al fresco breakfast, right on the beach and a perfect spot to breathe in the sea air. A breakfast special is available with a choice of a bacon or sausage sandwich and any hot drink. The coffee latte is really good. It's directly in front of the Peace Statue, marking the boundary of Hove and Brighton. Do the tourist thing and have your picture taken with one foot in Hove and one in Brighton. Dog friendly too - woof.

“The cakes looked good”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2013

I really wanted to stop here as the home made cakes looked great. However my rock cake was really dry. I did ask for some jam because it was dry and they did give me some but did not sound bothered that I had mentioned it being so.
