“We could not have asked for more!”
Reviewed 27 June 2014 via mobile

My boyfriend and I have just got back from a wonderful couple of days at The Twenty One! It was our first trip away together and whilst we didn't have a massive budget we wanted to stay somewhere nice. Having see the reviews on Trip Advisor we decided on The Twenty One and we were not disappointed!

Everything the reviews said were true. Matt and Andy are wonderful hosts! We were upgraded to a King Size room at no extra charge, the entire house was spotless, the hospitality tray and fridge well stocked, to the point we couldn't finish all the goodies provided (which is a first for me!) and breakfast was not only broad in options but delicious!

On top of this though was something far more important.... It didn't feel forced. We felt welcome and comfortable and that made the stay all the better!

To anyone looking for a place to stay in Brighton, book The Twenty One! You will not be disappointed!

To Matt and Andy- thanks for having us, looking after us and feeding us to within an inch of
our lives :D

We have just spent our first time in Brighton at the fantastic Twenty One. What a gem, to be met with a chilled glass of wine on our arrival whilst being directed to shops, eateries and places of interest was very welcome as was the local map. The accommodation is superb, we were in room 3 at the front of the house and the attention to detail is unsurpassed, having worked our way around the ipad next to the bed it will be the next item on my shopping list. The great breakfast will set you up for the day with local produce to die for - great sausages boys. We will be recommending to all our friends and cannot wait for a return visit - full marks on the tea tray, have never seen anything like it!

Room Tip: stayed in room 3 - fantastic and could see the sea

If any better innkeepers than Andy and Matt exist, I haven't met them--from the welcoming glass of wine at check-in to the warm farewell, they were terrific. The rooms are well-equipped ( an i-pad in every room ), spotlessly clean and comfortable. With 7 rooms, this is more inn than B & B . The breakfasts are outstanding, location is great but Matt and Andy are the reason to stay here.

Room Tip: Room 3 at front was spacious for 2 of us. Bathroom was well kitted out and spotless.

When life makes time for oneself hard to come by The Twenty One makes it possible. We were spoilt from the moment we walked in the front door until we left to come home. The welcome and relaxed approach made us feel we have been away for days. The room was the top of the house and was perfect, so clean and the treats within we're like we were really being fussed. They have thought of everything and the inclusion of cold drinks in the room were so appreciated especially as it was a really couple of hot days. I must also comment on the really comfortable bed. The breakfast was a superb balance and could not fail to satisfy all types of eaters. Thank you so much for a great break. Matt & Andy are the nicest people to meet and the house truly reflects such true genuine caring gents. We are busy trying to see when we can come back again.

Room Tip: All rooms are of such a high standard we were in room 7 the top floor - the windows wide open all ni...

An excellent stay once again with Matt and Andy. Love these guys. Its the only place we would stay in Brighton. For us The Twenty One ticks all of the boxes. They are the perfect hosts and the rooms are immaculate and beautifully decorated. Fantastic breakfasts too. Jean and David (Halifax)

...I and my group of girlfriends often book weekends away to Brighton, and when we do there's only one place we'll stay - The Twenty One. Why? Well, for a start it's one of the most relaxed, friendly places you could possibly stay; Matt and Andy are the perfect hosts. The rooms are clean, beautifully decorated and chock-full of those extra little touches (home baked cake as a treat, a fully stocked hospitality tray, fluffy robes...) - and then there's the delicious breakfast, with vegetarians catered for as much as the carnivores. Oh - and if you're at a loss as to where you should spend your time in Brighton, there are plenty of thoughtful maps and suggestions from Matt and Andy should you want them.

A wonderful place - thank you again Matt and Andy... the Twenty One is second to none!

We stayed at the self catering studio belonging to this B&B and it was perfect for our few days in Brighton. It's a few streets away from the B&B but in a great location, easy walk into town, buses almost outside the from door, a taxi from town one evening was only £5.

The studio itself was impeccable, everything we needed and more . Beautifully furnished, wifi, great bath products, really could not have asked for more- Andy and Matt had very kindly provided some basics ( bread, butter, milk tea, coffee, cereals!) so we didn't have to shop immediately, although there is a small shop close by.
If you don't fancy going into town the area around the studio has several lovely pubs, well worth exploring!
