“Loved it all!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 October 2007

Well, I booked a hotel here in Febuary for a valentines day suprise for my beloved. We stayed in the absolut love room.
I booked it before reading 'some' reviews and was slightly weary as I'd spent quite a bit of money on a 3 day stay and with only a 50% money back if you cancel.
However, after a long journey from the north east the hotel and staff were fabulous!!!! The staff were super helpful and when first entering the hotel room I knew it was not going to be a disappointment.
After unpacking and freshening up we went downstairs for a cocktail, I tried many while we were there and all were fab!!! The staff helped us pick a great place to go for a valentines dinner!
The staff were amazing, always really friendly, chatty and willing to help. The room was super romantic, clean and a perfect place to wake up in with a loved one. The breakfasts were totally kick [--] too.
This hotel is for anyone who is very much, rock 'n' roll, loved up, looking to renew something fab or just looking for somewhere quirky.
Please go it's great!
I'm already looking forward to my next valentines day, hmmm the durex room or betty's boudoir????

Enjoyed this hotel. We stayed in the Ocean Room and liked the fact that it was something different to the generic 'Travelodge' breed of hotels. The room was a really good size; the bed was comfy; we had a sea view and a bar. Admittedly the broken lift was a bit of a pain and the hotel is a bit rough around the edges in places but that just adds to its charm. Overall, we had a great time; the staff were helpful and friendly and the location is fantastic.

The breakfasts were fab and the staff were lovely but when you are paying over £120.00 per night (150.00 for the friday night) I expected a bit more for my money.
The rooms we stayed in (bettys boudoir and the pussy parlour) were quirky but definately more shabby than chic and the bathrooms were dreadful....the water wouldn't drain away quickly in the shower......gross!!

  • Liked — the breakfast and the cocktails
  • Disliked — the bathrooms...really tired and dated and grubby

What a great experience! I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a trendy base while staying in Brighton - we stayed in the 'Pin-up Parlour' dedicated to Diana Dors, the room itself was a real treat with more feathers and chintz than you could shake a stick at, great views of the sea front and a brilliant location. Breakfast was lovely.

This place is full of character - it's not a 'polished' Malmaison kind of hotel, its appeal is its individuality.

What stood this hotel apart from the competition was the service - friendly, attentive, just brilliant. We felt like the guys working there were our friends and had been for years. They recommended a great place for dinner (Brighton Rock) and drinks (Audio) they had a fantastic knowledge of the City and were intuative enough to know exactly the kind of places we would love. They even let us have a look at the Durex 'Play Room' as it was un-occupied - amazing!

Will definately return and tell others to do the same.

What a wierd but fabulous hotel. We went there for my 40th. Booked the bubble suite which covers pretty much the whole of the lower ground floor. 8 foot circular bed with a matching sized mirror over it set the scene. The cool 70's style sitting room had a big TV and gameboy type machine. The bathroom was enormous with a bath that was more of a pool. You could get 6 people in it comfortably! We decided to leave it to the two of us, and it give you plenty of room for some bath fun. There is an outside terrace too, although it has no view at all. Room service is great - the menu includes lots of sex toys etc to make sure you have a wild time. Drinks galore etc. If you have a healthy attitude to sex with your partner, this is THE place to have fun (or even rekindle that passion!). Prudes should stay well away....
Can't wait to go back there. Nor can my wife, which is saying something.

Stayed here for 2 nights for our 1st wedding anniversary and absolutely loved it! Booked few months in advance on friends advice, had loads of useful info via e mail/web site, and paid one night in full in advance.

Really easy to find with a ncp car park in the square, literally across road from the sea with lovely views. We stayed in Absolute Love room which was gorgeous, very romantic- would recommend viewing the rooms on their web site as it depends on individual taste.

Really helpful staff, made us feel very welcome, and we had a free late check out till 2pm as it was a special occasion- breakfast was great too- especially as it was served till 11 on the weekends.

Overall would definately recommend this hotel, has loads of character and is a nice change from normal branded hotels- give them a try!

Sorry to hear about Brighton 1234's unfortunate morning, but I'd be tempted to say "it's the Rock n Roll hotel though, innit?" . In fact, on mine (& various friends') numerous stays there we've found the service spot-on and in total contrast to the aloofness I've come across in other, more self -conscious 'boutique' hotels. I'd wear a few (and I've encountered few) rough edges for a proper welcome any day.
