Lovely stay

Review of Blanch House
4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 9 Sept 2017via mobile
The welcome here is warm , the rooms cosy and the breakfasts excellent. In fact a I would say it is one of the best breakfast selections I have seen in a long time, and cooked to order too. Coffee is also very good. The bar area is lovely and the cocktail menu extensive. Our room was small but beautifully fitted out. I didn't really like the tray in the wardrobe, the table by the tv would have been better, I think. The stairs are a bit steep if you worry about that, and parking can be difficult, but it's Brighton, come by train. Almost a five star for me, but I rarely give them. I would visit again.

Business weekday stay.
Well what can I say about this hotel, not much other than PERFECT!! The hotel was spotless clean and everything I could of asked for to make a weekday business visit as comfortable as could be. The breakfast is out of this world and worth a visit just to be able to see for yourself how much you can eat and order. The weather was hot and air con worked a dream. Keep up the fabulous work and hope to see the amazing smiling staff soon.

We stayed here for one night although our room was small it was beautifully clean and the bed was comfy, they certainly use their limited space well had every thing you needed including tea coffee and biscuits. They were very welcoming when we arrived and were happy for us to leave our bag even though it was early and our room was not ready. Literally a few minutes walk from the sea and a parking permit is also available for a small extra charge. I would recommend the Eggs Benedict for breakfast it was a large helping and very tasty. All in all an enjoyable nights stay in Brighton

My wife and I stayed here for two nights recently, having read many very fine reviews on TripAdvisor.

We were not disappointed - the stay started off the evening before our arrival when the owner phoned me to discuss any preferences we had. The call was made without request or prompting from me and was very appropriate as we were able to change rooms to a lower floor, request hypoallergenic pillows for my asthmatic wife, and pre-arrange parking.

The room we had was quirky but very well decorated and equipped. The view wasn't spectacular (over nearby rooftops) but all the time we spent in the room was to sleep basically so no problem!!

We did not partake of any food or drinks at Blanch House unfortunately, so I can't comment on these, but going by the rest of the stay I would expect there to be no problem there either.

Recommended? Yes.

Will I return? Yes.

Room tip: Speak with the hotel first to discuss your desires and needs.

Wonderful welcome, excellent accommodation and beautiful breakfast. It really would be impossible to criticise this absolute gem. From its central location to the calm that envelopes you when you step inside, this really is an experience not to be missed.

This is a truly excellent hotel in every respect. Beautifully designed and maintained, the Blanch Hotel is classy and stylish while somehow feeling homely too. This is no mean feat, accomplished by real attention to detail. The breakfast is remarkable. It's worth staying a week in order to sample everything on the menu. (The homemade lemon curd should be tried at your first sitting.) The lounge bar is open all day (especially good for a cocktail, a gin or a hot chocolate in the late evenings.) The bedrooms are distinctive, comfortable, quiet at night and come with luxurious bathrobes. The hotel is a ten minute walk from the very centre of Brighton, with some good local restaurants and bars en route. All the hotel staff are helpful and extremely friendly. We can't recommend this place highly enough. We will certainly be returning.

Room tip: Our room on the top floor was quiet and luxurious.
