“Good for mountain biking!”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

really good place to take the bike and thrash it out, there are some special paths which make you feel like you are doing some hardcore down hill biking!

have to be cautious of the local walkers who seem to think they own the land as they have a backpack and a trekking stick!

good fun on a nice day

“Interesting English Gourmet experience”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

I loved the dessert options. A normal English pub grub served regally regally. Very well staffed and nice English hospitality.

“Well worth the effort!”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

This wonderful spot is available by public bus from Brighton! Even though it can be windy and sometimes chilly, taking a walk is really exhilarating and the views in all directions splendid. We walked down the other side and had cream tea in a cozy tea-room, then climbed back up again - hard for an over-60 but manageable.

“What a great place for hiking or mountain biking”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

Went here for a Sunday walk and was very impressed by it's natural beauty. It is a beautiful walk where you have some great 360 views. The paths are also pretty good for mountain biking. The parking is 2GBP or free if you have a National Trust sticker. It is also a great place for flying kites or hang-gliding.

A really nice place for a walk but I could see it getting very rough in some wind and rain.

“Simply Heaven on Earth....”
Reviewed 2 August 2014

My family and I decided to explore Devils Dyke despite the fact we had lived near by all our lives and never been!!
WOW! Is all I can say we walked up through the Dyke the visited the farm (Saddlescombe) which had all old machinery from years ago. Also looked at the historic Donkey wheel. Then we climbed and climbed up through the trees! My Son said I can almost touch the sky! The views over Fulking Poynings were out of this world. Who needs to go abroad! Honestly allow plenty of time took us around 4 hours which included us stopping for our picnic...fabulous. Got maps history landmarks from National Trust website. Steep in some areas not suitable for young children (ours 9&12)
