one of the highlights of our 2 day visit. the independent shops are fantastic and you just lose yourself and are tempted by all the memorabilia and quirky nic nacs. the independent clothes shops are really great. lots of eateries and coffee shops too - a lovely quirky place

Visited North Laine after my Son's graduation in a large family & friends group (mostly early 20s) and was pleasantly surprised that drinks & food for all didn't bancrupt me.

The lunchtime shared platters were actually very tasty & plentiful too, sun was shining too.

North Laine was the highlight of my trip to Brighton. Far better than the over hyped Lanes. Full of quirk, eccentricity and la boheme. I hate shopping but I could and did spend hours here among the vast emporium centre in the middle and independent stores specialising in anything you can think of. And of course interspersed with coffee shops and bars of the highest quality. I wish every town had a quarter like this rather than a high street full of despair inducing soulless high street brands. Brilliant.
