This is the central pool for Brighton and should be a jewel in the crown.
Unfortunately it's nothing like that.
Entry point is efficient and friendly but that's the only positives.
The changing rooms are generally filthy with people walking in from the street with dirty shoes and walking in the same places as those that have just undressed and are now on way to pool. Unhygienic and unpleasant.
The clothes lockers have broken wristbands so you are unable to put the band around your wrist properly.
This situation has existed for months.
The pool area is old fashioned and often has cordoned lanes making the available areas cramped and unpleasant.
The water is far too cold compared to other pools.
The sauna and steam room are too small and filled with regulars who use it as a social club rather than the purpose intended.
At present there are works in progress which compound the dirt being carried on people's shoes into the actual pool area.
Avoid this place until it's rebuilt!!
