This is a great place to walk to on a Spring or Autumn week end with a picnic. When you get to the Chattri, there are things to look at, drap over and take pictures of; the views over the Downs are breath taking. Well worth the walk. Enjoy.

Dedicated to the Indian soldiers who fought on the Western Front
during the First World War.

It seems we may have lost the war if it was not for the British Indian Army.

They gave their life so today we can have the life we enjoy today.

I find it a place that make me think of how fortunate we are and how different it all could have been.

If you like a good walk in the downs with a pleasant destination for a sit down and meditation, this is a fine place for you. Good graphic pictures of the Indian soldiers contribution to the war and descriptions of their hospitalisation around Brighton

It is a bit of a walk to get here and better on a still sunny day, but it is serene and a good place for contemplation.
The peace and quite reflects its past.

The Chattri makes for a lovely walk if you only have a couple of hours to spare. The views back across brighton particualrly as the sun starts the set is lovely. The memorial itself is interesting and really very beautiful.
