We specifically requested a quiet sea view room on a high floor and that is exactly what we got. We had a great night's sleep each of our 3 nights. Location, location! We had a great time in Brighton and really enjoyed our stay at Queens. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was very large and the views of the sea and pier were great. I know it's silly but I was very amused by the antics of the seagulls who continually landed outside our window and looked in waiting for us to feed them! We very much enjoyed the breakfasts although we would have preferred a pot of tea which you could let brew to your individual taste rather than having a rather weak mug poured out, but that wasn't a big deal. We weren't very impressed with the one evening meal we had though, fish pie, very dry really, nor the dance music which was playing! The restaurant chairs need replacing as you sink right down into them making them too low for the table. But all in all a great stay which we enjoyed and thanks for accommodating us according to our room preference. We would definitely stay with you again.

I found the staff friendly, the breakfasts good, if somewhat manic, and the pool and sauna excellent but the thing that let it down big time is the noise from the customers in the pubs across the road that lasts till the earlly hours and severely restricted our sleep.
One of the things that is absolutely basic to a good hotel is giving your customers a good nights sleep.Everything else is periphery. The hotel needs to invest in some serious soundproofing in those rooms on the side of the hotel nearest the noise. Even on the 3rd floor with the window shut (on the hottest night of the year), the noise level was ridiculous.Do they seriously expect people to sleep through that.
If the Brighton Council is prepared to give a late night licences to venues that to all intents and purposes are in a residential area then it is beholden on the Hotel to ensure that the guests don't suffer because of that, and they fail spectacularly in this. Give this one a wide bearth....

Thank you for your review on TripAdvisor.
I was sorry to see that you had issues in relation to noise from neighbouring businesses , but it is really nice to see that you enjoyed other aspects of your visit such as the leisure club , and breakfast.

Old shabby and run down. Had to be moved rooms due to an electrical fault in ours so that mean two different rooms for a two night stay. Staff were very helpful - the one redeeming fact of this hotel. Staff worked really hard and were always friendly and helpful. Breakfast a "free for all " and not very hot. Sure there are better hotels worth the money in Brighton. Only reason this place gets away with the silly prices is its situation on the beach front. Can't recommend and won't be back.

Room Tip: Be aware of £20 per night parking charges on top of hotel charges. Room on the top floor are quieter (according to staff!) though they cost more. Avoid Thurs - Sun if you want a more peaceful time - full of hen and stag parties

Over priced and very shabby. Had to be moved rooms due to faulty wiring so for a 2 night stay meant 2 different rooms. Both rooms had seen better days. Breakfast just a "free for all". Staff though were wonderful and the one redeeming feature of the hotel. Be very aware of £20 a night parking charges on top of hotel price. Won't ever be back and can't recommend.

Room Tip: Higher up the hotel ie 4th floor quieter is is supposed to be (according to staff). This is obviously where the more expensive rooms are! Avoid Thurs - Sun if you wish a quieter break - full of hen and stag does.

Hubby and I decided on a weeks holiday in Brighton for my 50th birthday so decided to book a Tower Suite at the Queens Hotel and Spa.

On arrival at the hotel the reception staff were friendly and helpful and checking in was a quick and easy process, we arrived early but our room was waiting for us anyway. When we entered the room my first words were 'Wow'. Such a huge room, and a tower with large windows offering a wonderful panoramic view out to sea overlooking the pier. The bathroom was huge with his and hers sinks, a large walk in shower and a jacuzzi bath big enough for two, and me and hubby are not small people by any stretch of the imagination!

The bed was large and comfy, clean linen every day, free tea, coffee and bottled water as well as daily biscuits. We had a small fridge in the air conditioned room which was so useful as it was hot, hot, hot and was nice to relax on the sofa with a cold drink while watching the world go by on the seafront..

Breakfast was plentiful and tasty with a selection from fruit and yoghurt to full English. I found the staff to be very helpful and the times I asked for assistance it was always service with a smile. I felt that the staff could not do enough.

Yes it's expensive, but not disproportionately so given the size of the room and the facilities on offer -, three piece suite, huge TV, free fridge, free tea, coffee, bottled water and biccies, free pool, and a wonderful sea view!

If you are someone who wants an ultra modern, featureless box to stay in then look elsewhere. If on the other hand you want to stay in a beautiful building full of character, then please don;t listen to bad reviews and enjoy a stay at Queens

Room Tip: All the rooms at the front of the building have a sea view and are away from the nightclubs at the back
