we paid £56 for three girls for a Saturday night . I can only assum it was a family room as had a Double and two singles . because of this it was a lovely large room . recently renovated . bathroom not all that and found gross black hair in double bed . room was freezing when we got back as turned heating off for safety but won't bother next time . £8-£10 cab to clubs at seafront . £8 for breakfast each and quite good . parking quite limited an £5 24 hours . for the price and location it's more than adequate for one night . already booked for June

Just stayed in this hotel for 2 nights was ok our room was nice definitely not the best travelodge we have stayed in but ok for what we wanted. We found parking to be ok and thought it was quite cheap compared to allot of the parking in brighton! The worst thing about this hotel was the smell I the corridors the only way I can describe it is it was like somebody had been smoking and tried to hide the smell with polish or air freshener it was gross and very overpowering luckily once inside our room we couldn't smell it otherwise we would have had to leave it was that bad! The lifts were awful I would hate to think what this hotel was like before the refurb if you just block out the rest and get to your room it's fine.

We’re really sorry to learn our corridor had an unpleasant smell on this occasion loopy_lau83. It is regrettable that other guests appear to have smoked in our hotel and we would like to reassure you that Travelodge take the matter of smoking very seriously. We display signs in public areas and in every room advising customers that a penalty charge will be issued if customers smoke in their rooms.

We have stayed at this travelodge several times. Always opting for the family room. We have previously always had the same room on the fourth floor. This time we had a room on the seventh floor. It looks like the hotel has had a refurb. The room was lovely and spacious (twice the size at least of the rooms at the travelodge in chichester) We had a double bed and a set up single. The TV had several channels but we weren't in brighton to watch TV. We had breakfast in the morning and the buffet style was really good value. We will be staying again!

I have stayed at this travelodge many times when visiting my son in Brighton and the staff have always been excellent. On my visit last week I was pleased to see they had redecorated and included new mattresses that are really comfortable. Seriously competing with the slightly more expensive premier inn now.

Room Tip: If you phone ahead and request a quiet room they have always managed to find me a good room.

Have stayed at this Travelodge a few times, has had a bit of a make over, great sized family rooms, and just far enough from town to walk in, great value for money, but the lifts need a bit of work

Great place for a short stay

stayed on a saturday night for one night. exactly what we expected. staff were very friendly and helpful - the room plain and simple as well as very clean. the bed was very comfortable and we had an excellent night's sleep. Breakfast, which was extra - was good, slightly pricey, but an "all you can eat", and there was plently of choice on offer to suit all tastes. Early check in was from 1200 (extra £10) which we didn't use - instead we left the car there (£5 per day) and caught the No5 bus into town. (the bus stop is opposite the hotel - and buses run every 5mins till late). parking in Brighton is very expensive, if you're lucky enough to find somewhere in the first place. Traffic is bad - mainly due to all the buses! The breakfast area in the hotel is quite small so has the potential to get very busy - we went down around 8.30 and there was plently of space.

Room Tip: we stayed in 508, righthand side corner (looking from the front) - very quiet with rear and side asp...

The rooms are clean and tidy with new furniture and decor. The lifts were not in the same state being surprisingly grotty. Considering the amount of hen parties we saw there it was extremely quiet and we got good nights sleep. The breakfast was not great but the staff were helpful. The car parking was limited and does cost extra.

Dear gadyball. Thank you for your review. Whilst we are pleased to hear you were happy with the cleanliness of our rooms it is regrettable to learn you were unhappy with the state of the lift, we expect all of the public areas as well as our rooms to be up to our usual high standards of cleanliness. Our bar café staff are also trained to prepare food to a great standard so we are also sorry to learn the quality fell below our standards on this occasion. We will be sure to pass on your comments to the Hotel Management team so that they are aware of the improvements that need to be made.
