Reviewed 19 July 2012

this is a lovely place, i was travelling alone and ken and phil made me feel right at home. the rooms are a great size and come with all amenities fully stocked (and nice fluffy towels which is always a plus). breakfast was lovely despite only being served from 8.15 to 9 on weekdays. location-wise, it's a bit of a walk to the city centre; it was perfectly fine for me with plenty of cute little shops to look around on the walk, but i can only imagine how much my mother would have complained if she'd been with me!

We have just returned home from a midweek break at this beautiful Hotel. From the moment you enter the hallway the warmth and the welcome from Ken and his partner was wonderful, they are very helpful and couldnt do enough to make our visit a memorable one. All the rooms are themed, we stayed in the royal pavillion which was based on queen victorias room, the bed was a Four Poster bed so comfortable and vey luxurious.
And we had breakfast delivered to our room for that extra special touch, the breakfast was piping hot. There is a comlimentary fridge containing soft drinks and water and chocolate , We had a lovely ensuit with a hot power shower. The Hotel was spottless and clean with very expensive furnishings,
The Hotel is halfway up a street from the seafront , it was all within walking distance of the pier, the city centre and thoes wonderfull lanes,YOU MUST VISIT THE OLD AND NEW LANES, WE LOVED THE ANTIQUE FLEA MARKETS.
There are plenty of eating out places near the Hotel , if you want a good steak the Bank was the place to go , we had a good fillet steak cooked to perfection, and there are some good Tai restaurants too, but wtch the service charge they apply on the bill.
Also visit the Palace, if you like History on the Royals prince albert and Queen Victoria, it was a wonderful experience.
We had a wonderful break from staying at a beautiful Hotel to seeing the sights of lovely Brighton very cosmopolitan city.
All I can say is we hope to go back for a Christmas Shop so See you soon Ken we will be back, and i recommend your HOTEL as five star , with a wonderful welcome.
Love your Welsh visitors xx

Room Tip: we chose a sea view room with a four poster bed

It was my first time in Brighton and The Brighton Pavilions was the perfect place to have a rest in this beautiful city. The bed and breakfast has a good situation not far from the train station (only 20 minutes walk) and next to the main pier and the gay district. The B&B is perfectly clean. All the rooms have a special theme and are very well decorated. I felt like at home. I slept in the Monaco Pavillon a single room with a shower. Perfect if you travel on your own. You also have the pleasure to discover drinks and candies in your own fridge. The owners of the b&b are very nice and explained me all the good places to see. The breakfast is also perfect, home made and served in a very nice room. Regarding the services and the originality of the mansion, The Brighton Pavilions is not expensive at all and I highly recommend it !

My wife and two kids (14, 12) had a great stay at this bed and breakfast this week (July 2012). We stayed in the family suite which is actually two rooms. They had everything we needed. The owners Ken and Phil were fantastic and really made us feel welcome. The treat of our stay was the full English breakfast in a very cozy and relaxing dining room. We are from Atlanta, Georgia USA and had no idea what to expect. Perfect location and great hosts. We would highly recommend to couples or families.

Room Tip: No pool or fitness center so those are not applicable.

I spent a weekend with my parents at the Brighton Pavilions.
Nothing but good things to say about it. Very friendly and helpful staff, great rooms, lovely breakfast. Impecable indeed.

I highly recommend it and will certainly book again with them!

You will not find a better hotel in brighton. We found this lovely hotel 10 years ago and have been back every year since. We have stayed in all the rooms except one Thanks Phill for confirming that we did stay in the royal room and i am loving my Cath Kidston passport cover. From the moment you arrive till you leave you are made to feel very welcome and nothing is to much trouble. The hotel is spotless and the breakfast is just plain yummy. The best thing about the pavillions is the hosts Ken and Phill. Thank you guys we are all ready planning our next trip.

I had a mixed experience when I stayed in Brighton (at another B&B I hasten to add) for the London to Brighton, so this time, I did some research and opted for this B&B not far from Madeira Drive - a perfect destination if you are a planning to explore Brighton. Upon arrival, the welcome, explanation and service levels were exemplary (big hotel chains could learn a trick or two.) Nothing was too much trouble.. Phill even found a safe place for my bike to be stored the night before.

Getting up early ? No problem.. i was even offered a breakfast pack at 04:00 am !... The room was compact (but we do tend to take a lot of "stuff" everywhere we go so that did not help) but nonetheless, it was perfectly serviceable. The whole place was very clean, very tidy and the themed room we had (Pompeii) made a welcome change from the bland places I stay in all over this planet.

You can see where the money has gone. Moreover, there were some nice touches that helped make the stay that little more special.. Free choccie in the fridge ? Check. Free water ? Check.. Free use of the DVD library ? Check

Brighton has so much to offer as it is, but places like this make it all the more special.

Again, it's not just about the building... the service was excellent and we were catered for in a charming and friendyl manner

There were some observations, which being balance, I feel duty bound to note:- NONE ARE SERIOUS..

1) In a funny sort of way, the breakfast waiter in the morning couldn't quite get the order right. Ask for Earl Gray.. got coffee ! Asked for Tomatoes on toast, got bacon as well ! Ask for Brown toast - got white .. Again... all was sorted and it made us smile !

2) The window / paintwork on our room - outside - could have done with a refresh. - small but I noticed it.

Apart from this, The Pavillions has to be one of the nicest places my wife and I have stayed in the UK.

You will not be disappointed ! - RECOMMENDED

Room Tip: We slept perfectly.. (*and I sleep light) - no noise... brilliant. The Pompeii room was great but w...
