“Pleased with the Pavilions...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 December 2006

Picked the place on Tripadvisor guidance and was not disappointed - very helpful on the phone in sorting out the booking and explaining about the potential for parking issues when we arrived. As it turned out we managed to get a prime spot just across the road from the hotel and did not need to move the car once during our weekend. The hotel is small, beautifully put together, and one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in - and the staff were very helpful.

Only beef was the standard sized double bed which seems a little compact when you are used to a wider one - though to be fair I never asked about this before arriving- so wasn't missold.

Package included champagne on arrival and breakfast delivered to the room each morning - together with mini bar priced at shop prices . All in all a great place for our winter weekend break - great location - near enough to walk to most things -but surprisingly quiet.

Stayed December 2006

This is a lovely hotel - 10 minute walk form city centre- loads of restaurants nearby. Very helpful, friendly staff. Its very clean. OK the rooms are small and the bathroom one of the smallest I have ever seen - but it had everything including heated towel rail, good sized basin, great shower and a shelf to store stuff - it was also very well lit. The bedroom was comfortable and individual. Very good breakfast. I would suggest careful reading of the hotel's own website when you pick a room so you know exactly what you are getting - also download the excellent intructions on how to find it - we had no problem- it was straight forward but we would have been stuck without their instructions. Would recommend prebooking the parking permits as well.
I was amazed how quite the hotel and the street is in were - just a few seagulls in the morning. The hotel is only a few minutes from the beach. Although the hotel was busy at breakfast we did not hear any noise- no slamming doors or nosiey staff- just peace and relaxation.
recommend the terre a terre veggie restaurant.
If you want somewhere to stay which breaks away from the anonymous corperate image, where you will be very comfortable and well looked after - then look no further than this hotel
