Description: The Bristol is a fabulous seafront pub with panoramic sea views, great traditional food and wonderful Sunday lunches. Clearly we are not to everyone's taste but a warm welcome awaits the discerning customer who appreciates something a little bit special. Dog friendly & children welcome for lunch. Please note, we do not allow large groups, especially hen or stag parties. Sorry, no fancy dress. The result of these policies is that we have to tolerate some abusive reviews as the price we pay for a nicer environment. C'est la vie.

Haven't been to the Bristolbar for a couple of months and went to a birthday lunch . Always consistently good with lovely food and great service - can't wait to go back as this restaurant know how to look after their customers - always book as it gets busy!

We visit regularly and always find the food very good and the service excellent. The atmosphere is good as it attracts a clientele which appreciates its calm efficient vibe.

We stopped for a light lunch during a day visit to Brighton. This pub on the seafront in Kemp Town is welcoming and comfortable with several tables with a sea view. The were several vegetarian options for starter and main, though only one for vegans. We needed to eat and dash so opted for two starters, the pea and mint soup and the hummus dip with leafy salad, both delicious. We noted that the chef only gets quality ingredients and makes meals to his own recipes. Well, the soup was really excellent so I would not disagree! With a lager and a sparkling water the cost was about £18, including a 10% service charge, which definitely goes to those serving you according to a note on the front of the menu (and good to read). Service was friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the lunch and went back for tea at the end of the day. One last point, it was relatively easier to find a parking space in this area of Brighton compared to the centre!

Thanks for the review. We're lucky that you can see the sea from pretty much everywhere except the loos at the Bristol! Even our kitchen has a sea view. Delighted you enjoyed the food. Some other dishes can be adapted for vegans, it's always worth asking, particularly if Zak, our vegetarian chef is working. Hope we see you again.
