This is a stunningly modern hotel sat down on the brighton marina. I cant fault my 2nd stay at the hotel, the room, check-in, breakfast and bar - superb! If you are looking for a classy brighton retreat then look no further + free parking for the duration of your stay. A taxi can be booked for about £7 each way. There are a range of lovely restaurant at the marina + a cinema, casino, bowling, gym, and super market so you don't actually have to leave.

Room Tip: Sea view gets you a view of the marina, very nice

This was our third stay at The Seattle, which speaks for itself. Everything was up to par, and the breakfast particularly good, with a wide choice (Eggs Benedict excellent!) Our only quibble is that the room was quite warm, and the duvet seemed to be winter weight. But overall, highy recommended.

Staff and check in: excellent. Really friendly and helpful staff. Free parking in multi-storey; park on 6th floor and enter hotel via boardwalk.

Room: we upgraded to king size, which was worth it, but a harbour view would be best. No air-con in room, but a electric fan did help some.

Breakfast: excellent choice and service, quality of food was excellent.

Location: a bit out of it, but it is contained within a complex-style area with pubs/shops/restaurants. The bus/novelty train service is regular, so no problems there. It is walkable to pier, but it's further than you think, especially if 27oC.

Would stop again if I could get a deal, as it was quite expensive (we inquired about staying an extra night, but only room was £175). It's probably worth it, but would always like to pay less.

Room Tip: Upgrade to King and also Harbour view if possible.

One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because of the free parking. It was a multi storey car park 2 minutes walk from the hotel which was great, I should mention though that it is a free car park anyway. In fact I imagine that since the buses run into Brighton every 15 minutes it might be worth parking there if you are staying in central Brighton to save money on parking. Our room was lovely and clean. Tea and coffee, no mini bar. Tv and docking station. Good lighting. Our room opened out onto a balcony which overlooked the marina. The breakfasts were good with lots of choice. Service excellent too. Lots of restaurants stones throw away. That's it really, no complaints.

We went to this hotel last year for one night as recommended by a friend who is already a fan of the Seattle in Brighton.

We liked it so much we went back this year for our 25th wedding anniversary in July and had such a wonderful stay.

We booked the king room with a balcony. So spacious - and with fab views across the marina and coastline. If you visit the Seattle this room is a must. The hotel is no clutter - for minimalists. White walls everywhere but so clean and crisp.

Upon arrival in the Marina in Brighton away from the main town centre - you will come across the large red black white signage for the Seattle. You can park outside to offload your luggage. The hotel is situated inbetween shops and won't grab you at first. But, once you enter into the long corridor and take the lift to the 1st floor reception area, it is airy, bright and staff are friendly and not officious in any way.

Incidentally you can park your car in the multi storey next to the hotel - there's a walk way between - free of charge.

The bar has great views and a decking area outside for warm afternoons/evenings.

We did not eat in the restuarant for dinner - only breakfast but what a treat. Continental or full English - so piping hot and delivered to your specific order. One of my favourite hotel breakfasts ever.

Again staff so friendly and helpful.

Again you can sit outside on a terrace over looking the marina on a warm morning. Unfortunately this was the only downside we had - the weather was atrocious.

The huge bed, linen, modern flat screen tv all fantastic. Only one thing missing - a frige in the room.

My favourite thing in the king room was the balcony - to be able to people watch, listen to the sea, hear the noice of the boats moored in the marina - such a wonderful place.

We shall definitely be returning to the Seattle some time very soon for another long weekend.

And I mustn't forget to mention the numerous restaurants and pubs around the marina - no need for a taxi all within walking distance.

Room Tip: the king room my favourite - large bed lots of space

I saw this hotel on Trip Advisor and thought it looked pretty good. So, i called the hotel to check the details of a deal i found on the internet (Booking.com), i was advised that this wasn't available (Someone hasn't done there job correctly, i found trhe deal this morning and it's still there now) The lady on reception was less than unhelpful, and to be totally frank.... rude with it! We have a 4 month old baby and i was advised that there was not enough room for him in a double room so it was not possible to offer us the room even if it were available? it's a 4 month old baby in a little travel cot we are talking about... not a baby elephant! I was advised i would need a king size room (£50.00 extra) to ensure there is enough space??????

I haven't booked it due to her attitude as i have concerns that her attitude is normal practice at this particular hotel.

Book at the risk of poor customer service!

Stayed at The Seattle for couple of nights during the Sussex Uni Graduation Ceremony (what an experience... excellent.) Lovely view from tiny balcony. Clean white room, got what we paid for, no room for extra bed and there isn't! One chair. Excellent linen and duvet. Very comfortable bed. Gorgeous bathroom toiletries. Thanks.
Well staffed, all of whom were professionally friendly and helpful and pleasant.
Got a great 50% off meal deal (Tablesnatcher) and in the evening had their fillet steak....... really wonderful. Bar area most attractive. Breakfast was OK, poached eggs and bacon very nice, sausage a bit bland, a quarter of a large mushroom and half a tomato but plate swimming in beans! Not in a good way. Very good other choices available. Would go again and recommend.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a marina view.
