Description: Our inspiration for the food and design of Cote is a modern interpretation of the many famous bistros of Paris. Inspired by new trends, we are dedicated to serving authentic classic brasserie dishes with a modern twist, using high quality produce at great prices. On the menu, guests will always find brasserie favourites on our a la carte menu such as steak frites, moules marinieres, corn-fed chicken from rural Brittany and tuna Nicoise, for dessert, Cote's creme caramel and creme brulee are much-loved house specialities. Seasonality and Cote's commitment to sourcing high-quality ingredients results in a monthly changing specials menu, ensuring there is always something new to delight regular guests and gastronomes alike, as well as the excellent value set menu. Open early every day for breakfast, through to lunch and dinner; Cote's atmosphere is informal and friendly.

I can't recommend Coté highly enough. The good was sublime and the service exceptional. Eduardo our waiter was extremely attentive and the ambiance was fantastic. A must for all visitors to Brighton.

“Reasonable”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2014 via mobile

Went to Cote in Brighton as we had a colleague over from the Netherlands. 7 of us present.

Majority had the set course menus varying from the 2 or 3 course options. I have the mackerel to start, steak for main and chocolate pot for pudding.

Cannot really complain for the price, £11.90 for 3 course plus £2 supplement for the steak. Good quality and well cooked. Could have done with slightly bigger main portion but was tasty.

Recommend for a quick lunchtime meal. Good atmosphere with attentive polite staff.

“Exceeded Expectations.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 July 2014

Situated in a very impressive high ceilinged building opposite the Dome Theatre, Cote is a busy atmospheric restaurant, efficiently managed and run.
It was early evening on a Friday, we were welcomed at the door our booking immediately confirmed and we were shown to a pleasant table by the window.
Our order was taken briskly by Eduardo, our charming and informative waiter, from a comprehensive and interesting menu. We went through three delicious courses and thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the ambience, we never once felt hurried.
The bill including several drinks amounted to £94.16, overall a terrific experience.

The service is very good; the food is very good also and arrives quickly after ordering. There is a warm almost relaxed atmosphere. Worth a visit especially for the minute steak with frites.
