Description: The Blue Man is a relaxed and informal Cafe-Bar with Brighton Soul and North African flavour. You can pop in for coffee (best in town!), Amazing selection of tea, a lovely wine list or a bit of food if you're hungry. We're chilled and informal and will make you feel very welcome. In the evening we host live events, acoustic nights, dancing, DJs and parties. Pop downstairs and feel a world away from the hustle and bustle in a haven that's a home away from home...

Having read positive reviews of The Blue Man we headed on a Monday for lunch. The friendly greeting with knowledgeable advice led to us enjoying a sharing platter with the speciality sausages , haloumi and potatoes. All the food was fresh and tasty. The wine we chose was a perfect accompaniment. If you are looking for good food in a relaxed atmosphere at a reasonable price I doubt you will be disappointed.

Small restaurant, but great decor and very good menu. Was so looking forward to our chicken tangine. It was very tasty, but lacking in meat. I did go back and advise the bar and the chef came to see me. He was surprised at my comments, but he very kindly suggested I would get another potion, which I did. The potions are small and you would need some side dishes or starters, which we did not have. To be fair we were in a hurry and did not have time to do this. Would like to go back and have some more dishes next time.

I have been to the Blue Man a few times now and always had a fantastic time. Excellent food and drinks served up by a friendly team. This really attracts a wide range of people- local office workers, creative and arty people (lots of live events during the week), and people who are after a great coffee in the morning. Nice coffee shop atmosphere during the morning and at lunch. In the evening it transforms into a cool late lounge with excellent music. Would recommend- above all this is a great independent Brighton venue.

We visited The Blue Man on a Saturday early evening and were lucky enough to secure a cozy sofa in the corner for our meal! First impressions were great, with the lovely Moroccan decor and super friendly staff who were keen to divulge recommendations and details about the dishes!
We ordered a sharing platter of small dishes including falafel, grilled halloumi cheese with honey apple, and 100% lamb sausages, we also shared the tangine which had been slow cooking all day and was just ready for serving - all of which were fresh, fragrant and delicious!
I would highly recommend this place to anyone as a delightful quirky place to spend an evening!
