“Truly a magical place, with amazing attention to detail. Loved it!”

I booked this fantastic cottage for my Friends Hen Weekend. 7 of us girlies stayed for 2 nights in June 2014. The cottage is perfectly formed, and we all loved it. The attention to detail is brilliant. The facilities were good and the beds very comfortable. The location is its best and not so best feature as everything you want is on your doorstep, but that does make for a slightly noisy area, but that was made very clear up front and we did not mind. It did mean the cottage was very Hen party friendly as we were able to have fun without worrying about making some noise. The communication with the owner Jacqueline was excellent and she was very helpful and super quick to respond and offer advice on the area/travel etc. I would definitely recommend this and would love to stay again.

Absolutely amazing and wonderful decor throughout, even the cupboard handles were themed!
Fab location, walking distance to everything you possibly want in Brighton.
Quite small, but extremely cosy and lovely for a small group. I will definitely be back to stay again!
Thanks so much,
Rosie

“Fairy tale cottage!”

Four of us stayed here paying £200 for the night so £50 each which is great however if that was just two people for that price I would say it's over priced! Great customer service from the owner very helpful indeed. She let us stay the one night instead of booking all 3 minimum. However we had to check out at 10:30am as an alarm man was coming for £200 I don't think that good but we were pre warned. A few tea cups were full of dust so the place did need a deep clean. The cottage is down a secret alleyway between two pubs whichs adds charm. The cottage is a lot smaller then it looks in the pictures so be warmed!! It's over 3 small floors The double bedroom is tiny and right up against the wall. Love the Alice and wonderland theme and the decor! The outside toilet is abit crazy you have to go in side ways it's that small. The living room is great and fairly spacious the cup seat is great and so is the half a kitchen. It was built in 1565 so feels a little haunted and there's an old rabbit in a jar on the shelf that looks abit spooky. Would be lovely to stay in the winter with the open log fire. Would definatly stay again just not sure on the price. You won't be Disapointed definatly worth a look/stay!

“La crème de la crème of accommodation.”

As soon as I saw The Looking Glass Cottage on the internet I knew it was what I wanted for a weekend with a group of female friends.Jacqueline the owner was extremely helpful right from the start to ensure that our stay was to be exceptional.
We did have a problem with the the I Pod Docking system and before we knew it she had replaced it...what a service!
The accommodation was delightful ...mind you I am glad that only 6 of us went in the end as 7 would have been a bit of a squash. The provision of both tea and coffee was a bonus and the bottle of champers for my birthday was really kind and thoughtful....and appreciated greatly!
The beds were soooooo comfy and all furnishings of a great quality. We were grateful for the earplugs though as early mornings could be noisy outside. However, the position of the cottage could not be better although near to some busy pubs.It is .near to the seafront, bars ,restaurants and Lanes. So glad we didn't take our cars. Everything is within walking distance.
We will undoubtedly recommend this rental and other rental properties owned by Jacqueline to all friends and family.Prompt return of deposit too.
We all loved Brighton , the great variety of shops(Paradise for hardened shoppers!!)choice of restaurants and bars and the people are so helpful and friendly...cant wait to return.Already looking to bring my sister to Brighton very soon!!

We stayed in Jacqueline's cottage for a hen weekend in June and can only wish we could have stayed longer!

We had a great time - and Jacqueline was incredibly helpful in the run-up to the stay giving lots of recommendations for activities and restaurants.

Couldn't have asked for a more well-placed location for a trip to Brighton and I'm so pleased we opted to stay here over staying at a hotel!

“Wonderland Indeed!”

We chose this charming Alice in Wonderland themed cottage, because of its convenient location and its artistic quirkiness. We were not disappointed.

The owner kept us informed at every stage prior to our visit and had clearly thought of our every need during our stay.

The house is so, so cute and just when you think you have got it all sussed, it reveals yet another surprise. Our favourite was the miniature door and knocker under the stairs!

Although there was only one bathroom, it wasn't a problem as all bedrooms have a sink and there is an additional toilet downstairs.... although there were only 3 of us.

A fabulous holiday retreat - will recommend to all!

Top tip: The stairs are steep and narrow, so my friends on the second floor took their cases downstairs empty and packed them in the lounge. Wish I'd have thought of that ;))

Liked best: Its uniqueness and charming eccentricity
Liked least: The upper bedrooms were quite small, but all had been done to address this as much as physically possible.
