Wonderful little pub tucked away off St James Street, Brighton. Great food. Best Sunday Roast in town... friendly staff, making me hungry thinking about it!

This place is frequented by mostly a young arty set and has funny quiz nights and occasional bands and DJs. Sometimes it is totally rammed and sometimes it's completely dead, with nothing inbetween. I think the seating is slightly awkwardly placed and some tables barely give you enough room to get into your seat. The real ales could be kept better as last time I went there the two in offer were both iffy if not completely off and the friendly guy behind the bar didn't,t seem to notice or care. That aside, I like this place and would recommend it for its quirkiness and the relaxed atmosphere

Hello

Great find in Brighton, went in for a pint, left 3 hours later.... menu was great - so much to choose we over-ordered! Whatever you eat the twice-cooked chips are a must, I dont think they will be beaten. Really friendly staff too.

The food is freshly cooked and was delicious a back street gem away from normal rubbish microwave pub food from the big chain pubs come from Huddersfield and would travel down again just for the food PS there are some moaning people about complaining of the toilets and avoid at all costs have you ever been abroad in turkey you can have a fine restaurant and the toilet is out the back is a hole in the ground.

Finding a nice bar to eat by yourself has become my speciality.
The mucky duck is home away from home.
Located in one of the many small streets of Brighton you can sit there and eat and not be looked at.
Burgers, fries and mashed potatoes like it's homemade.
Even enjoyed an open podium night which was awesome!
