This Brighton pub is tucked away in Manchester Street just off the seafront and very near to the famous pier. A traditional Victorian building clad in green glazed tiles hides it's delightful and spacious interior. A good selection of different beers on tap plus an extensive range of other drinks. The bar also has a great menu and good selection of food at reasonable prices. You'd be hard pushed to find a bar with better staff as the Mucky Duck boasts a happy and cheerful lot who are willing to serve and keep everything ship shape. This pub's at the top of its game.

What a disappointment this pub turned out to be. It looks great from the outside and we were tempted in...
Bar staff friendly but I didn't appreciate one member hooking her shorts out of her bum and then serving beer..plus then having a fag in the "beer garden" (which is in fact a piece of concrete the size of a postage stamp directly next to the seating area in the pub) blowing her smoke straight into the pub, then not washing her hands and serving beer again.
Consequently the pub stank of smoke...other people using this area might as well sit at the bar for all the good it did.
Toilets were rank, graffiti on the actual toilet seat..I dunno maybe this is funny..but combined with the stink and dirty floor it didn't do it for me.
Didn't want to risk the food, I'd seen enough...won't return.

Popped in for a quick lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon. The pub was almost empty and we received a warm welcome from the friendly staff.
We were a party of 5 and ordered 2 burgers, 2 chicken nacho burgers & a mushroom burger all with homemade chips. After waiting for an hour for our food we were expecting something delicious and freshly cooked, sadly that was not the case. The 2 burgers were edible, the chicken burgers were tasteless and dry and the nachos greasy and soggy as was the mushroom burger and although the chips looked slightly burnt they were raw inside and inedible.
Really disappointing as we were the only people they were cooking for so there's not even the excuse of being busy.
Don't waste your money on the food, fine for a quick drink!

While on holiday nearby, we spent the day day in Brighton and after exploring the local attractions it was time for a pint....
As our hotel served very generous portions for the evening meal, we were looking for a lunch-time snack.
We settled on the cheeseburger and were not disappointed, great taste, just the right amount of seasoning, all in all a perfect choice.
Great staff made us feel very welcome and the pub had a good atmosphere, would have liked to spend longer.
Would have loved to go back in the evening....maybe if I was 50 years younger !
