Visited on our last trip to Brighton. The collection of toys and models from the last 100+ years is fabulous.. and a testament to the founder Christopher Littledale and to those who have contributed to the collection and who volunteer to help sustain the collection and provide the supporting services to those who wish to experience it first hand. If you are in Brighton and have the chance to take a trip down memory lane and beyond you should visit and support those who are preserving a piece of our history

Now then, I wonder who enjoys a visit here the most ... I have feeling probably the grandparents!

This is a marvellous museum with thousand of exhibits that will have you reliving all the joys of your childhood.

The railway layouts are a feast for the eyes ... so too the vast array of Dinky, Corgi and Matchbox vehicles of every description. The dolls, the puppets and the old penny machines will have on Cloud One and you even get a chance to buy an item or two on your way out. Mind you, that could be an hour or two later for there's just so much to see and enjoy that you won't be in any hurry to make for the exit.

Wonderful in every respect and so easy to reach right underneath Brighton Railway Station.

I have the opportunity to work in this museum and it's just amazing. I am french and was very surprised to discover a place like that. It is really a surprising museum with old old toys, trains and the team is just generous, competent and lovely. The collection in the museum comes from some collectioners and the director, himself, repair the old trains.
You can even see a train running by pushing a button.
To summarize, I just want to tell everyone (whatever the age, the nationality or something else) to go THERE! this is the place to see if you visit Brighton. If you don't go there, you'll miss something interesting.

Visited friends in Brighton for the day on a recent trip back to the UK and an unexpected treat was a visit to this toy and model museum which I had seen many times but never visited. Excellent service provided by (so I was told) many volunteer staff who seem to know their job and did a great job in welcoming visitors. The museum itself brought back many nostalgic memories for me from my childhood and it was certainly worth the few hours looking around. For something different I would recommend taking time to visit here.
