“Village feel off busy road”
Reviewed 22 June 2014 via mobile

How nice to have a plowmans without tired coleslaw. Instead we got freshly cut apple, celery, etc. Surprisingly cosy garden at the back despite being just off the busy London Road. Decor a little but 'Farrow and Balled'... Attentive good service.

“Average food & overpriced”
Reviewed 11 June 2014 via mobile

Visited here Sunday for a spot of lunch.

Went to order food at the bar, was told to take a seat & a waitress will come over. I find this really annoying either hurry up & take our order before allowing me to get to the bar or just let us order at the bar.

Food is ok nothing special & felt it was very overpriced for what you actually get. We ordered two burgers & chips. No kidding their were about 6 chips however burger was homemade and well seasoned.

“Dinner and a pint”

Good atmosphere, good food, good beer.

Friendly staff, excellent music not so loud that I couldn't hold a conversation.

A pleasant evening out.

“Weekend special”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Been a few times. Weekend breakfast nice but heating the plates would be an idea .
Service is always good and friendly
Sunday lunch was very good nice choice of meals without being too big
Sometimes the music can be out of sync for the time of day eg Sunday morning too lively sometimes for a chill out
This is a nice place just needs a bit of a crowd to get a good feeling

“Extremely disappointing food bad!”
Reviewed 26 May 2014

My Partner had the Pork Belly it was terrible, tiny bit which was mostly grizzle we would not even take it home for our Dog. As I don't eat Meat I had the ( only) vegetarian option which was Butternutsquosh in Puff Pastry with New Potatoes & tiny bit of Salade ( without any Dressing). The New Potatoes were mushy not nice. The only nice thing was their Merlot Housewine it was lovely and perfect temperature. We eat out quite a bit and for good value we would give it 2 out of 10 , mainly because of the Wine.
