Excellent location - less than 10 mins from the main shopping centre and bar area, quiet despite being practically next to the railway station. Convenience stores and cafes all around.
Hotel all still very "new". Family rooms (additional double sofa bed) are a good size. Decent beds and bedding, however I would say that the sofa bed would be more comfortable for children than adults. Good choice of TV channels on flatscreen TV. The bar/restaurant is a great bonus over some Travelodges. The room was very clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. Sue's Snacks cafe opposite provides excellent budget-friendly alternative to the Ibis breakfast. For me the only downside of the hotel was the bathroom tardis or "pod" - although reasonably sized, with a good hot shower, clean and well-maintained, the pod-style with door opening into the bedroom and gap under the door doesn't grant much privacy/soundproofing. Apparently some rooms have "proper" bathrooms, we were not lucky enough to get one. But - for £35 for a night in a newly-built, well-maintained hotel in a convenient location, you can't complain. Parking is available at nearby North Road multistorey at a subsidised price - just ask at reception when you check out, they will give you a voucher.
Thank you very much for taking the time to post your comments on Tripadvisor. We are delighted to receive a 5 star rating and have noted your comments regarding the Pod door. I would like to highlight that our family rooms are suitable for 2 adults and 2 children only and as you correctly put it the sofa is not meant for adult use. Thank you once again for your feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back soon again. Kindest regards, Dominic Sauls, General Manager
We have stayed in a few hotels in Brighton and the Ibis is the best by a mile. Great location, great staff, great room. What more could you ask for. It was soo good ny wife is already asking me to take her back again
Thank you very much for the brief yet very glowing review. I appreciate your comments especially regarding the team and we look forward to welcoming you and your wife back soon. Kindest regards, Dominic Sauls, General Manager
In a prime tourist spot I really did not expect too much for the 60 odd pound for a room that would handle my two kids (7 and 9) and a baby.
Wow - I was wrong; really nice hotel. Clean and big rooms with all that you need and friendly, helpful staff.
Location is great - near the station (train is the way to get to Brighton) and only ten minutes from the seafront and the shops and restaurants.
Will stay here again on my next visit.

Clean and comfortable bed. Great view over brighton from tenth floor room.
Liked the clock on the tv to see the time at night.
Air con very noisy.
Free wifi for whole stay a big bonus over competitors.
Thank you for taking the time to feedback to us via Tripadvisor. I have noted your feedback regarding the noise from the AC and have tasked my housekeeping and maintenance teams to check all units to ensure a restful nights sleep. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Kindest regards, Dominic Sauls, General Manager
Paid only £35 for a twin room - great value and next door to the station so really conveniently situated.
Some noise from the main road so best to ask for a room facing the quieter road behind the hotel.
Thank you for taking the time to post your comments online and rating us with 4 stars. Our rooms genuinely offer excellent sound proofing and have asked my housekeeping team to ensure all windows are securely shut to provide a good nights rest. We look forward to welcoming you and you partner back soon. Kindest regards, Dominic Sauls
