Our first ever stay at a Caravan Club campsite and I have to say that we didn't have very high expectations! At £84 for 3 nights just outside Brighton, we'd resigned ourselves to a muddy, unorganised, basic campsite. I'm delighted to say that this couldn't have been further from site we arrived at. We were lucky enough to be sited next to the basic, but adequate cchildrens play area, which the boys loved, despite being used to 'all singing & dancing' sites like Sandy Balls. The new shower block had opened the day before and was pristine and spotless.... which I'm sure is how it will be maintained.... even the youngsters were cleaning up after thier showers :)
A first rate stay, great location and very friendly staff. Highly recommended (Stay was last weekend of Easter hols)

We have stayed here twice now & have nothing but praise for the lovely staff & the site. It is very clean, in a great location & the staff will do all they can to help you.
My Husband & I booked on to this site in Jan 2013 for 2 weeks as my Husband was having Radiotherapy at Brighton Hospital. When we arrived at our first appointment we were told they had changed there mind & had decided they wanted to do a lower dose over 5 weeks. The staff did all they could to keep us on the site, which made a very difficult time so much easier & assured us if we needed to return for more treatment they would make sure they would find us a pitch....which they have done.I can't thank them enough!

We have been coming to Brighton for a number of years and try to stay at Sheep coat (now just called Brighton Caravan site) and have always had a cracking time. This time they new staff who have only been here 2 weeks. The site is having one of the shower blocks re-deck so will be good come the summer. Other people who have commented about the site have to remember that they staff don't control the weather. We are on a grass pitch and yes it's very wet but that's what you get when it rains:

Go on give it a try its only a bus / bike ride or a tenner in a can from the town.

We stayed for the weekend of 8th February, the weather was great when we arrived so we not to wary of being told due to the site works we would have to pitch on a grass pitch as the hard standing were all reserved for motor homes and people camping for longer than a weekend. The grass was still very muddy due to previous rain which was a pain as it made the caravan muddy.
We have stayed on this site previously and it is in a fantastic location for a lovely stroll along the seafront to the pier.
On Sunday the weather took a turn for the worst with heavy rain from the early hours, this made the grass into a mud bath, next to us was a motor home who were also leaving, they only stayed for the weekend so they where also put onto a grass pitch, this turned out to be a bad judgement by the wardens as it took over an hour to try and get the motor home out of the mud luckily enough another camper had a tow rope and finally managed to tow them off, but not after the grass was totally ruined! Also take note that the wardens are not allowed to tow you off or provide you with a rope due to H&S!
I really think that only the hard standing should be used during the winter or you are told that you will be pitched on grass when you book to give you the choice of going elsewhere, and not be so greedy to try and squeeze as many units on the reduced capacity site!
We will return but not until the site is fully open and definetly when the weather is better due to the poor drainage!

Excellent Caravan Club site about 2 miles form the centre of Brighton & about 500 meters from Brighton Marina with its bars & restaurants. Local bus service into centre of Brighton about 300 meters from the site. Good facilities with small shop on site. Very reasonable fees.
